A tough watch, but TAB punter lands the cash at Mildura

There were certainly a few nervous moments, but it was a case of all’s well that ends well for a big Mildura punter on Friday last week.

The TAB customer launched a $10,000 wager on Alan Cronin’s first-starter Hezrockinroyalty, who showed signs of greenness early in the TAB App 2YO @ 3YO Pace and was headed down the back straight the final time before doing enough to score by 2.3m at his racetrack debut.

The bet, at $1.65, returned $16,500 and was one of the major wagers recorded by the TAB on Victorian harness racing last week.
