Arty set for US qualifier debut alongside another former Vic star

Lochinvar Art will make his US debut in a qualifier this weekend, when he will step out for Shane and Lauren Tritton alongside another former Victorian top-liner.

The champ will contest a four-year-olds and up qualifier at the Meadowlands, starting in barrier one, directly inside Tam Major, who won 15 of 55 starts and almost $350,000 in Australia when racing for Emma Stewart.

Owner Kevin Gordon said there were “no prizes for winning, (Lochinvar Art) only needs to qualify”.

“He is well and feeling good and working super,” he said.

The Trittons will also have 2019 Victoria Derby winner Muscle Factory contest the preceding qualifier, a race he shares with former Western Australia pacer Khun Ratha.
