In the hands of Brian Gath the mare cut inside to finish within 1.3 metres of winner Monara Maro (pictured), which was good enough to claim third by about 20 cenitmetres and reward her place backers.
That $15,500 play was among the 10 biggest bets of the Tabcorp Park Melton meeting on Saturday night.
