It’s a fine line between three and 13 but when it comes to draws the difference is huge.

It’s drama that will play out eight times on Saturday night when the TAB Breeders Crown finals’ barrier draws are staged in the Scotch Notch Café at Tabcorp Park Melton, setting the season for the one of the great Group 1 nights of Australian harness racing on November 19.

The finals draws follow Thursday’s trotting heats at Maryborough and are part of the festivities of the pacing semi-finals at Tabcorp Park Melton on Saturday night, with the first six home in each heat or semi-final to advance to finals.

The barrier draws, to be streamed live as part of the TrotsVision.com.au pacing semi-finals coverage, will unfold as follows.

After Race 7 (8.42pm):

  • Aldebaran Park 2YO trotting colts and geldings final
  • Aldebaran Park 2YO trotting fillies final

After Race 8 (9.14pm):

  • On A Streak @ HDT 3YO trotting colts and geldings final
  • Woodlands Stud 3YO trotting fillies final

After Race 9 (9.47pm):

  • Alabar 2YO pacing fillies final
  • IRT Australia 2YO pacing colts and geldings final

After Race 10 (10.22pm):

  • A Rocknroll Dance 3YO pacing fillies final

Those on course are welcome to watch the draws unfold in the Scotch Notch Café, especially owners, who are invited to draw their horse. To do so they need to be in attendance 10 minutes before their draw and register with staff.

Rob Auber will host the barrier draws, which will be streamed as part of a special TrotsVision telecast that will see Ryan Phelan, Jason Bonnington and Shannon O’Sullivan join race caller Dan Mielicki live from Tabcorp Park Melton.
