All that glitters on the racetrack will be gold this trots season after jewellery store Catanach partnered with Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) to laud the sport’s brilliant drivers.
Catanach’s, which boasts the best range of coloured stones in Australia, will gift a $500 voucher to the drive voted Catanach’s Gem of the Week as adjudged by trots fans on HRV’s Facebook page.
Amanda Catanach, Managing Director of Catanach’s whose store is in one of Melbourne prime precincts on High Street in Armadale, said they were “thrilled to be partnering with HRV and to extend our support of the racing industry into harness racing”.
“We are very excited about the initiatives HRV have planned for the upcoming season,” she said.
Talking Trots on SENTrack co-hosts Jason Bonnington and Blake Redden will each week short-list the four best drives of the week, which will be posted on HRV’s Facebook page every Tuesday for trots fans to vote.
The drive that receives the most votes will pick up the $500 voucher, which will be announced each Monday.
“Every day our brilliant reinswomen and men wow us with their talent and it’s fantastic to have a greatly respected brand in Catanach’s, who have such a passion for racing, come on board to support harness racing and celebrate the skills of our stars,” HRV General Manager of Marketing Andrew English said.
