Make your presence felt this festive season and get trackside for the O’Sullivans Transport Elmore Pacing Cup.
Nominations are being accepted until noon for the racing club’s showcase meeting, which also features the IGA Plus Trotters Cup amid a card of restricted racing to soak in the Christmas spirit.
Prizes will also be gifted to last-placed and best-presented horses in both cup fields, which were donated by Clinton McSwain and Joelene Morrissey.
The good community vibes continue with further races sponsored by The Victoria Hotel Elmore, Horne’s Transport, Elmore Field Days, Jenharwill Baling, Elmore/Lockington/Rochester Community Bendigo Bank and Elmore Racing Club.
There will be a lucky draw for participating trainers, with two $200 vouchers donated by Sandhurst Stockfeeds and P & D Rothacker, a Ladies’ Fashion on the Field with a $100 cash prize and multiple raffles, including the famous wheelbarrow prize. A $500 bonus will also be given to the winning connections of the day’s three-year-old race courtesy of the VHRSC.
There will also be entertainment for all races including Tex the mechanical bucking bull, a waterslide, face painter, live music and pony trots and roving interviews by Paul Campbell.
All bodes for a great day at the track at Hunter Rd, Elmore, where gates will open at noon. Admission is $10 with under-16s free.
