Two guests from very different walks of life joined RSN’s Cracking The Codes team for another intriguing and entertaining show on Saturday morning.
Dan Mielicki and Simone Fisher chatted for over half an hour with trainer-driver Joe Pace and veterinarian/breeder Dr Kath McIntosh.
Pace opened up about the decision to leave a career driving trucks and commence full-time training, his long and rich family history in harness racing and some of the stars of his stable, including Diamond Party, Supreme Dominator and the now-retired Forty Thieves and Rock N Roll Chapel.
Listeners were treated to a replay of the 1988 Miracle Mile victory by Our Maestro – who has the Free For All event at tonight’s Tabcorp Park Melton meeting named in his honour – before Dr McIntosh jumped on the line.
A vet at Northern Rivers Equine, Dr McIntosh is also a committee member of Harness Breeders Victoria and operates Llowalong Farms.
She spoke about some upcoming events for HBV – including an online seminar this Sunday – the current breeding landscape and the stud farm.
