Cranbourne meeting transferred to Melton

Tomorrow’s scheduled Cranbourne harness racing meeting has been transferred to Tabcorp Park Melton.

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) has taken this precautionary action following a positive test for COVID-19 by a thoroughbred racing staff member at the Cranbourne Training Centre.

“Through communication today with Racing Victoria and Cranbourne Turf Club and our own inquiries we are comfortable that no harness racing participants are at any additional risk,” HRV CEO Dayle Brown said.

“No harness racing participant has been deemed a close contact and no harness racing participant has been required to undertake a COVID-19 test.

“We have transferred tomorrow’s meeting purely as a precautionary measure, and HRV will continue to monitor the situation and advise of any updates.”
