David Miles updates Rockinwithattitude’s return timeline

Trainer-driver David Miles gave an update on Rockinwithattitude when he spoke with Paul Campbell from Campbell’s Comments after the squaregaiter missed the Yabby Dam Farms Great Southern Star.

The five-year-old’s last race was on October 12 at Melton where the daughter out of Rockin Shiraz took out the Hyland Harness Colours Trot.

“She had a good break after Breeders Crown time and we decided to give her a big spell – which she did super,” Miles said.

“After three weeks jogging, she came up with a little throat issue, so she had to have minor throat surgery.

“She has come through that good and she has had the boots on a couple of times and fast worked a couple of times and hopefully be back at the races in maybe April.

A trip to Queensland is on the cards for the winner of close to half-a-million-dollars after a successful campaign in 2024 taking out the $150,000 Group 1 The Great Square.

“We will try and head to the mares race at Menangle in the first week of May and then come home for a couple and then head to Queensland,” he said.

“The Inter Dominion definitely.”

Rockinwithattitude has won 20 races from 35 starts and is a five time Group 1 winner.
