Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is partnering with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) this September to drive funds and awareness during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

This year 20,000 Australian men will be newly diagnosed with prostate cancer, 3500 will die of the disease, and over 200,000 Australian men are living with it every day.

Help us make a difference by heading to PCFA.org.au to download and share the PCFA’s free Awareness Guide.

One click is all it takes to learn more about prostate cancer.

Two of our star harness racing drivers in Greg Sugars and Darby McGuigan have signed on Prostate Cancer Awareness Month ambassadors.

For every win during September scored by Sugars and McGuigan HRV will donate $500 to the PCFA.

Sugars and McGuigan can be easily identified in Victorian harness races during September as they are wearing specially designed promotional Prostate Cancer Awareness Month silks.

“Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia is excited to be partnering with Harness Racing Victoria throughout September to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer in metro and regional Victoria,” PCFA State Manager John Strachan said.

“Prostate cancer is a significant challenge for Victorian men (1 in 4 cancers diagnosed in men will be prostate cancer) and with HRV's significant network and community reach it provides an excellent opportunity to raise vital awareness of the disease. PCFA applauds HRV for this fantastic community awareness initiative.”
