The Tom Hogan Charlton Cup Day Punt Off honours the late owner, breeder and punter who passed away in September 2023.

At that time, Tom and partner Sue Murray held the Punt Off title after winning the third staging of the event in 2023.

They joined Cody Winnell and Nikita Ross, and popular New South Wales identity Stephen “Sooty” Hunt as winners of the annual event.

The Cormack family, led by Adam on track, then reigned supreme last year.

Entries are still being taken for the 2025 Punt Off this Sunday – reach out to Andrea O'Gorman on 0499 701 322 to register – with 10 confirmed entrants set to do battle.

The Punt Off sees participants pay a $1000 fee, with $250 of that placed in an overall prize pool. The other $750 is bet across the day’s card and the punter with the highest balance after the final event is declared the winner.

All entrants are able to keep their final tally, while the leaderboard-topper takes home the added bonus of the entire prize pool and a trophy.

The Charlton Harness Racing Club acknowledges that not everyone has $1000 to play with, so, for the first time, a free tipping competition has been established.

Head to www.harnessworld.com, register your entry details and tip horses in races four through to eight. The player that earns the most points on a $1 each way basis with the TAB will win a $250 cash prize.
