Bronte Nieuwenburg has outlined her selections and suggested game plan for Wednesday's card at Bendigo.
R1 – 4.49pm – Simonds Homes Bendigo Pace Final – 2150m
3 – Rockstar Leo
8 – Budd Sidewinder
10 – Ruby Wingate
11 – Warrioress
Rockstar Leo started from the same barrier last week and didn't show much gate speed. However, after working wide to the front, he raced well to only be beaten on the line by a swooper. He seems to be quite a tough horse, and if he has a similar run to last week, he could go one better. He looks to be in career best form.
BACK: 3 Rockstar Leo – 2 units (win)
R2 – 5.24pm – Aldebaran Park Trot – 2150m
4 – Keayang Francisco
7 – Charlie Walker
1 – Billy Zippin
8 – Midnite Muscle
R3 – 5.57pm – Northern Rivers Equine Vet Clinic & Llowalong Farms Pace – 1650m
12 – Home And Dry
10 – Heston Cash
11 – Kimchi
4 – Cobber Mac
R4 – 6.30pm – Woodlands Stud Pace – 2150m
9 – Millie Me
6 – Keayang Galliano
1 – Khans Creed
7 – Sassiness
Millie Me has had two race starts. Her first run was very impressive in quick time, and we can overlook her second run where she encountered trouble. She has drawn a good barrier here and should be winning this race.
BACK: 9 Millie Me – 4 units (win)
R5 – 7.00pm – Smartloans Bendigo Pace – 1650m
11 – Iamahunter
9 – Reign Em In
6 – Kalkadoon Dreaming
2 – Written In Silk
The Lisa Pitt stable is in sensational form at the moment, and she has Iamahunter second-up for the team here. It had to sustain a run from well back last start and was only beaten 2 metres. It should improve from that run here, and I think it can overcome the poor barrier over the short trip.
BACK: 11 Iamahunter – 2 units (win)
R6 – 7.30pm – Forty Winks Pace – 2150m
4 – Le Twist
1 – The Answer
3 – Captain Maastricht
2 – Katunga Express
R7 – 8.00pm – Nutrien Equine 3yo 0-2 Ltw Pace – 1650m
4 – Tenaciously
6 – Scherger That
5 – Jilpanger Rose
7 – Wicked Mitzi
R8 – 8.30pm – APG Melbourne Sales Graduate Series (2yo Colts & Geldings) (Heat) – 1650m
7 – Loucasso
3 – Sols Me Name
1 – Chainsmoke
6 – Master Louey
Loucasso got it wrong and galloped in the Bathurst Gold Crown Final last start. Prior to that, he showed he was very talented, winning his two other starts. This is a tough race, with some of these runners showing a lot of promise, particularly Chainsmoke and the two Jayne Davies-prepared runners. However, Loucasso should be too good if he does everything right.
BACK: 7 Loucasso– 2 units (win)
R9 – 9.05pm – APG Melbourne Sales Graduate Series (2yo Fillies) (Heat) – 1650m
5 – Degarmea Teale
2 – Ride The Highs
2 – I want Mary
3 – Alot Like Jeannie
