GOODFORM – Bronte’s best for Bendigo Wednesday

There’s eight competitive races coming up tonight at Bendigo and Bronte Nieuwenburg has done the form.

R1 – 6.00pm – Revolve Print Pace – 1650m

5 – Outa The Blue

1 – Lester

8 – Wheres Wood Wood

9 – Lorimermajor

R2 – 6.33pm – Great Ocean Road Real Estate Vicbred Voucher Mares Pace – 1650m

9 – Fair Chance

8 – Littleblabbamouth

3 – Lilstrepo

4 – Final Bow

Fair Chance comes into this race in super form since joining trainer Leon Fanning. She has finished in the top three in her last eight starts. I like barrier nine, as it gives her the chance to find a good position without being pushed early. She should be right in the finish.

BACK: 9 Fair Chance – 2 Units (win)

R3 – 7.03pm – Haras Des Trotteurs Trot Final – 2150m

6 – Frankythefrenchman

11 – Wallis

4 – Inspire

7 – Macho Maori

R4 – 7.33pm – The Douglas Deck Vicbred Voucher Trotters Handicap – 2150m

8 – Romantic Nina

9 – The Dark Thunder

11 – Champagne Charley

7 – Courages Law

When Romantic Nina does everything right, she’s a fast and talented trotter. She’s posted the best sectional times in this field when she trots, and if she does that here, she can win this.

BACK: 8 Romantic Nina – 1 Unit (win) – 1 Unit (place)

R5 – 8.00pm – Apco Service Stations Strathdale & Kangaroo Flat 3yo Maiden Pace – 2150m

5 – Lets Go Lorna

3 – Eebeebee

6 – Colorado Girl

1 – Cmon Sharky

Lets Go Lorna is a four-start maiden and draws a tricky barrier here. But she has the best sectional times and Australia’s top driver, James Herbertson, in the sulky. She hasn’t shown the best gate speed yet in her career, so she may need to work to find a position early, but this looks like a suitable race for her to break through with her first win.

BACK: 5 Lets Go Lorna – 2 Units (win)

R6 – 8.32pm – J & A Mazzetti Painting Pace – 2150m

6 – Direct Command

7 – Reign Em In

9 – Ziegfeld

8 – Katunga Express

With a few scratchings, Direct Command now draws barrier four. He’s in great form and was an eye-catcher last night, storming home to win after being stuck back on the fence. This is a smaller field, and he’s certainly racing well enough to win.

BACK: 6 Direct Command – 2 Units (win)

R7 – 9.07pm – Dual Code Halloween Meeting 28th Oct Trot – 2150m

6 – Bullapark Beno

8 – Tough Mate

1 – Apex

3 – Montana Chevelle

Bullapark Beno is a super reliable trotter who gets the early barrier advantage over Tough Mate, who looks to be a talented trotter. If he finds some luck and can get forward, Bullapark Beno can certainly win this.

BACK: 6 Bullapark Beno – 2 Units (win)

R8 – 9.44pm – Stonemans Village Iga & Liquor Strathdale Pace – 2150m

5 – Mynameisruby

6 – Joeys Hangover

3 – My Darling Devine

2 – Allheartnoheight

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
