GOODFORM – Bronte’s game plan for Bendigo Wednesday

Bronte Nieuwenburg has outlined her selections and suggested game plan for Wednesday’s meeting at Bendigo.

R1 – 5.30pm – Manburley Farm Trot – 1650m

3 – Alfie Always

12 – Promise Dream

11 – Boutika

13 – Ai Sedhai

Alfie Always showed good gate speed to lead all the way and win at Maryborough last start. He should take improvement from that effort, having been first-up and fresh on the day.

BACK: 3 Alfie Always – 2 Units (win)

R2 – 6.02pm – Prydes Easifeed Pace – 2150m

7 – The Answer

10 – Surfe La Mer

4 – Ferrigno

8 – Shaq

Although she’s first-up and hasn’t been in the winner’s circle for over a year, The Answer is clearly the class runner in this field. She competed against the best fillies of her age as a two- and three-year-old and was never far away. Chris Alford takes the drive for the first time here.

BACK: 7 The Answer – 2 Units (win)

R3 – 6.32pm – Gold Central Victoria Trot – 1650m

1 – Love Who

3 – Bullapark Beno

11 – Dossier

4 – Baarlinee

Love Who has been racing consistently this preparation and does his best work in front. From barrier one over the short trip, this looks like the perfect race for him, and it could be too tough for those out the back to run him down.

BACK: 1 Love Who – 2 Units (win)

R4 – 7.00pm – Aldebaran Park Trot – 2150m

4 – Lizzies Son

5 – Magic Law

8 – Abbie

11 – Casa Alberta

Lizzies Son is a talented trotter who likely would have won more races throughout his career with better manners. He’s been much improved in that area this year, stringing together a few nice performances. If he can settle in a forward position, he’s a strong winning chance.

BACK: 4 Lizzies Son – 2 Units (win)

R5 – 7.34pm – Woodlands Stud Pace – 1650m

6 – Heavens Gift

2 – Vincent Grange

4 – Rowdy Christian

5 – Cheys Angel

R6 – 8.01pm – Garrards Horse & Hound Pace – 1650m

4 – Markleigh Caz

9 – Monsieur Flamel

10 – I Of The Hurrikane

8 – Lavada Gold

Although Markleigh Caz is an 11-year-old mare, she has consistently been running good times or been unlucky in recent runs. From barrier four, she should be able to find a good position and looks well placed to get back into the winner’s circle here.

BACK: 4 Markleigh Caz – 2 Units (win)

R7 – 8.30pm – Alabar Pace – 1650m

11 – Budd Sidewinder

9 – Martha Lavinia

5 – Lollipop

7 – Tophut Johny

R8 – 9.03pm – Haeuslers Echuca Pace – 1650m

6 – Edwarde Grange

7 – Frugal Fare

5 – Harryhoo

3 – Steel The Moment

R9 – 9.30pm – Apco Service Stations Strathdale & Kangaroo Flat 2yo Trot – 1650m

6 – Truscotts Elegance

4 – Unclad

5 – What The Tooth

1 – Argyle Muse

R10 – 10.02pm – Great Ocean Road Real Estate 2yo Pace – 1650m

7 – Maxo Mighty

6 – Double Needs

5 – Caties Son

4 – Alcatraz Miss
