Goodform Gameplan: Bendigo Sat 3rd July

There are four key hopes in this opening event and while YANKEE GOLD (1) isn’t the best winning chance, but he’s best drawn of that quartet and offers the best value. From gate one he’ll lob one of three positions: lead, trail or three poles. He can win from two of those spots and place from all three so he’s an Each Way wager to nothing. 

SUGGESTED BET: 

$15 Each Way YANKEE GOLD (1) at $6.50 or better.

There’s a major vibe in play that MOMENTSLIKETHESE (7) will be driven cold at her first run for a while tonight so that leads us to one of two options. Either we can launch on BOXOFCHOCOLATES (9) or play for value. I’m choosing the latter option. This is the easiest race FINAL PEACE (8) has faced in a while and she is far too good to go around at $17. 

SUGGESTED BET: 

$5 Win & $15 Place FINAL PEACE (8) at $12 0r better

There are so many winning chances here that being definitive appears foolish. As a result, we’re backing three horses two horses Each Way that are both current overs for very speculative amounts.

$5 Each Way CYCLONE S ADAMS (2) at $10 or better & NORQUAY (11) at $7 or better

If you backed GLENAVRIL KING (2) at $9 earlier this week you’ve done well. With his price shortening so much those who have played can play again and those that missed the price can play just once via the Tricks outlined below. Plainly put, I think ARDEN VOYAGER (1) will lead and run with GLENAVRIL KING (2) on his back and from there they should finish first and second or first and third at worst.

Flexi Trifecta: 1,2/ 1,2/ 5,6: $30 gets 750% 

Flexi Trifecta: 1,2/ 5,6/ 1,2: $20 gets 500% 

Flexi Trifecta: 1,2/ 1,2/ 3,4: $10 gets 250%

I’m tempted enough to back WOULD YOU MIND (1) here even though he’s rock-bottom with regard to price, but I will supplement that wager with something 1 x 3 on IMNOPUMPKIN (8) at crazy overs. It should be remembered how devastating that horse can be off a peg-line trip and he will improve sharply from his first-up effort. 

SUGGESTED BET: 

$30 Win WOULD YOU MIND (1) at $2.50 or better 

$5 Win & $15 Place IMNOPUMPKIN (8) at $16 or better

He’s shorter than I was hoping he’d be, but HULI NIEN (1) is my Best of the night so $2.80 will do. Watch for him to travel sweetly in the trail then sprint through for success if he gets any fortune at all. 

SUGGESTED BET: 

$40 Win HULI NIEN (1) at $2.20 or better

Price will be everything given I predict the market may fluctuate wildly late in tonight’s fast class affair. If you got the $21 available early about TORRID SAINT (3) you have a wonderful platform to work from and the same goes if you got $18 about SIRLETIC (10). As things currently stand, SIRLETIC (10) remains the best Each Way proposition.

$20 Each Way SIRLETIC (10) at $8.50 or better

The feature trot is a confusing race from a betting perspective. SPARKLING SUCCESS (9) is the one to beat but there shouldn’t be so much between he and KEAYANG LIVANA (10) so you can either back KEAYANG LIVANA (10) straight out or play the exotics outlined below.

Flexi Trifecta: 9,10/ 9,10/ 1,2,4,5,6,8: $24 gets 200% 

Flexi Trifecta: 9,10/ 1,2,4,5,6,8/ 9,10: $6 gets 50%

The move for JILLIBY DYNAMITE (2) worries me so I’m staying out here. 

SUGGESTED BET: 

Nothing significant (Confidence that BONDI LOCKDOWN (5) will win)

The flucs have already been intense in this final event so we’re playing for fun and value more than anything else. That value may change by the time the mobile rolls but right now it lies with WOTDIDUSAAAY (7) and SPORTY AZZ (8).
