Race 1

Confidence:

ONEOUTOFTHESQUARE (7) has had the two starts and galloped at the start on both occasions. They were a year ago and he joins Andy Gath now from Kate Hargreaves. This horse has ability, he proved that at the trials in May when up against Illawong Barmah but did things wrong. He recently finished last in a trial at Melton but wasn’t beaten far, was hard-held, and importantly trotted all the way so that’s a positive. MEYDAN (11) has ability, he went around in a heat of the Derby a month ago, but he has his tricks as well. There is every chance these two could get into trouble, so the bet is BELLMAC BAMBI (5) from either an each-way, place or 1x3 perspective. She is very consistent and deserves to break through. JENNYSFAVOURITE (8) is another one who has ability, but has tricks.

SUGGESTED BET: BELLMAC BAMBI (5) Each-Way

Race 2

Confidence:

LOLA DEVEREAUX (2) is a three-year-old filly taking on her elders in a staying handicap but she does have ability and won up to three in a row during regional racing at Bendigo and recently has been down the field in strong three-year-old races, one of the chances. CELTIC CASH (3) knows how to do it wrong but is good on his day, which he was last start which was off the back of a good trial so interesting to see how he behaves tonight. HANGING ON A DREAM (6) can fly the tapes and is consistent in these races whilst BIRTHDAY SUIT (8) stormed home last week at Melton in a G3 Breeders Crown race, but it was far from the strongest G3 of all time. LEANNE LEEANN (1) starts from a good position and is in form but she rises in class tonight.

SUGGESTED BET: HANGING ON A DREAM (6) Each-Way

Race 3

Confidence:

ILLAWONG CHAMPERS (6) ran a former classic winner in New Zealand to a half head at Bendigo three starts back so that form is more than good enough for this restricted race, two runs since during the Redwood meeting things didn’t quite go right. FLING IT RAINBOW (11) has a tough barrier but is one of a few that is down in class, he didn’t have much luck over C&D at the last meeting here and competed against stronger last time. IMA ZIABEE (4) was a last start third in a similar rating race, and should’ve finished a lot closer last time. ARU AND ME (1) has the draw and went well against stronger last week and could fill a place.

SUGGESTED BET: Boxed Trifecta 4, 6, 11

Race 4

Confidence:

LADY LANI (2) is a former Western Australian mare that was able to register her first Victorian win at her second attempt for Luke Tabone at Warragul on Sunday, when given every chance from the front. She was a tough run before that at Kilmore, and whilst this is a bit harder than last time she has to be considered very hard to beat. OFFICIALLY SHADY (7) has been consistent since joining Amy Crossland with two wins from starts and had no luck when sixth over the C&D at his last run a month ago. TIGER PLAY (3) is naught from 17 but is the other key chance.

SUGGESTED BET: Boxed Trifecta 2, 3, 7

Race 5

Confidence:

MOTU TIGERS EYE (5) is a beautifully bred three-year-old that showed plenty of promise during his first preparation. He is first-up in a pretty strong fast class race of the night without a trial, but he went well against some good ones during his first preparation so you’d think he can only keep improving. ARTS DASH (8) has an economical but sticky draw but with any luck has the class. LARAJAY MACRAY (1) can be a bit up and down with her form but she went well in a G2 Breeders Crown race last weekend so from the economical draw she is a chance. SUMARIAN ARTIST (4) shouldn’t be underestimated at big odds. EXPLICIT CASTLE (9) is an obvious chance. RADIUS (6) is very consistent, IMAGE OF STARZZZ (7) had the widest draw but beat home Breeders Crown runner-up Jilliby Nitro five starts ago.

SUGGESTED BET: LARAJAY MACRAY (1) 1x3

Race 6

Confidence:

INDIGO DANCER (4) was second in a metropolitan three-year-old race five starts back and whilst she has been down the track in recent times, she drops in class from a ratings perspective tonight and can score. STUNNING I AM (3) has consistent form, she toughed it out at Melton two back and had little luck over C&D at the last meeting here when second last. MENDED (9) has been third in two of his last three and an unlucky seventh in between those two runs. SURBITON HARTBREAK (6) has finished third in each of his last two and was only beaten four and a half metres by Cee Cee In America back in May.

SUGGESTED BET: INDIGO DANCER (4) to Win

Race 7

Confidence:

GEE SMITH (1) is first-up for four months and comes off a trial third at headquarters behind a decent unraced type and a nice three-year-old filly. Last preparation he was showing plenty of tricks, especially at the end of the back straight, but he did go off a 9/2 second favourite in a heat of the Derby back in January. CHEDDAR VALLEY (4) won well on his Australian debut on Oaks day before never looking comfortable at Cranbourne last time, be interesting to see how he goes around Beckley Park but at his last New Zealand start he was behind the subsequent New Zealand Sires Stakes winner. DIAMOND PARTY (6) has drawn the widest but has the ability and FIGHTING FIRE (2) is in good form.

SUGGESTED BET: Boxed Trifecta 1, 2, 4, 6

Race 8

Confidence:

TRITTRITTBANGBANG (4) and WHATS STANLEY GOT (6) are the class runners and it would be a surprise if they didn’t run the Quinella, let alone there is a different winner. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (4) is fast off the gate whilst WHATS STANLEY GOT (6) normally comes with one run so in the small field the advantage is obviously going to more than likely be with the former. They have both gone around against good quality three-year-old’s this preparation. JEMSTONE GLORY (5) looks third best after a decent effort at Ballarat last week whilst BLAZIN CRACKER (2) rates over BALTIC ACE (1) and HAWAIIANBEACH (3) with two principle winning chances and the other four all a chance of running third on their day.

SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 4, 6 / 4, 6 / 1, 2, 3, 5 ($20 gets 250%)

Early Quaddie

The first leg is interesting with the two main chances both prone to galloping so will take two different Early Quaddies tonight with the same horses in the second, third and fourth legs and the first leg will be the interesting one depending on who trots.

7, 11 / 2, 3, 6, 8 / 4, 6, 11 / 2, 3, 7 ($72 gets 100%)

5, 6, 8 / 2, 3, 6, 8 / 4, 6, 11 / 2, 3, 7 ($108 gets 100%)

CONFIDENCE:

Quaddie

There are plenty of nice horses in the first leg so there are obviously plenty of chances. Indigo Dancer should be able to get back to the winners list in the second leg down in class. There are four key chances in the third leg with two main chances in the last leg but Trittrittbangbang will more than likely have the advantage from a speed map perspective on Whats Stanley Got so it could be a one out leg as well, assuming Trittrittbangbang gets it his own way.

1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 / 4 / 1, 2, 4, 6 / 4, 6 ($56 gets 100%)

1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 / 4 / 1, 2, 4, 6 / 4 ($28 gets 100%)

CONFIDENCE:
