WOLF STRIDE (2) has opened a touch of odds-on but it doesn’t look unreasonable under the circumstances. The speed map is not set in stone here but with MAJOR ASSASSIN (1) and LOUIS SEDGWICK (8) getting peg line trips, it becomes a pretty handy betting race.

2/1/8 for $10 gets 1000%

SOFALA (2) has opened a decent price here under the circumstances. There is obviously some chance he’ll get shuffled back to three poles but he’s more likely to lob leaders back and under that scenario he gets a golden opportunity tonight at inflated odds.

SUGGESTED BET: $25 Win on Sofala (2) at $4 or better.

CATCH A MOMENT (1) should lead and toy with his rivals here and if we could be guaranteed that MAMAS NEW DUDE (8) hustled through to follow then this would become one of the better betting races of the year. Unfortunately, it looks more than possible LUVYOUBABE (2) will be able to drop in behind the likely leader and things get a bit murkier from there so we’ll play one out in Early Quaddies and let it unfold.

SUGGESTED BET: Nothing Significant.

This is a top notch edition of the Tatlow and there are many different ways to read this race. Personally, I can see BEACH MUSIC (3) taking the most out of the Home Grown Classic clash and while there are new additions to this, the barrier draws haven’t been kind to some of the boom fillies so the top pick becomes the value play.

SUGGESTED BET: $15 Each Way on Beach Music (3) at $8 or better.

This is a tricky little Free For All but I like the improvement CRUZ BROMAC (10) showed last time and in a race where we will either have to stagger up, or play wide in Quaddies, he looks a nice solid each way bet.

SUGGESTED BET: $15 Each Way on Cruz Bromac (10) at $5 or better.

The punters have teed off on IOLANTA (5) here but she’s got into a very tight quote ($2.30) while it’s more than plausible she can win, MAAJIDA (12) was magnificent against the open age mares last time and looks incredible value in current betting. AMELIA ROSE (11) is the other worth throwing into Quaddies on that top level.

SUGGESTED BET: $25 Win on Maajida (12) at $3.50 or better.

OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY (10) has been duly respected by odds-makers and punters alike following a dominant win in the Make Mine Cullen. Finding the placegetters is a tougher task so I’m willing to watch and learn here but still happy to play the favourite one out through Quaddies.

SUGGESTED BET: Nothing Significant.

DANCE CRAZE (6) is priced right up to her best here, but she only just missed in the Bill Collins and she does look to get her chance. That said, she’s no moral, but there also doesn’t appear heaps of value outside of her. If you were looking to have a little dabble then SPARKLING SUCCESS (7) might be the one over the odds.

SUGGESTED BET: Nothing Significant.

It’s almost impossible to tip against ACT NOW (3) here based on his win in the Home Grown Classic, that said, he may not be infallible and if he is made to run along then SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (2) will be laying in wait ready to pounce and he does look the obvious overs in the market.

SUGGESTED BET: $5 Win x $20 Place on Sumomentsomewhere (2) at $12 or better.

BREVITY (7) hasn’t opened favourite here but I thought he had a few things in his favour. While race fitness isn’t one of them, on class I lean to him over ALWAYS FAST (11) and TERRYRAMA (10) who are the other market leaders.

SUGGESTED BET: $20 Win on Brevity (7) at $4 or better.

ALWAYS READY (11) is a deserved odds-on favourite here and even though JUST BELIEVE (10) and KHEIRON (9) look like the key pursuers, it’s not an overly enticing race to get involved in so hopefully by this stage of the night, we are well in front.
