When fields were initially released and markets initially framed it was well worth having a small win bet on both FINAL PEACE (3) and BELLADONNA GIRL (4) at massive odds. Things now suit the faves much more however. As I’ve said all week MAAJIDA (8) should be fave and will likely start popular elect after being a decent price earlier this week but we’re just playing 1 x 3 FINAL PEACE (3) at $51 & $13.

$5 Win & $15 Place Final Peace (3) at $21 or better

With Just Hope out of the contest RELENTLESS ME (2) is the only runner here that qualified for their Breeders Crown Final and it’s bordering on obscene that she should be paying $6. INTERJECT (1) may something special but she’d want to be at $1.55.

$20 Each Way Relentless Me (2) at $5 or better

In all honesty, the best suggestion here is laying TORNADO VALLEY (4) at $1.40. From a fan perspective we all want the champ to win tonight as he becomes our latest standardbred millionaire but his last three starts have all been well below what we expect of him. If you don’t like laying then back ALDEBARAN TESS (6) and hedge on POWDERKEG (5).

$10 Win Powderkeg (5) at $4 or better

I am the number one ticket holder of the DENIS WILLIAM (9) fan club and do believe he’ll win but at this stage of his career he’s not the kind of horse I’d back at red figures. Much of me just wants to stay of the race but ICONIC MAJOR (4) is the clear danger and is too tempting EW at $6.50.

$15 Each Way Iconic Major (4) at $5.50 or better

I’m genuinely perplexed that KHAFAJI (6) could be so short with INTEREST FREE (10) in the race but I still think KHAFAJI (6) wins so we have a problem. Ultimately I’ve decided that First Fours look the way to go but I’ll kick myself hard if INTEREST FREE (10) salutes.

SUPREME DOMINATOR (5) was already my top tip for this event but he is arguably even better suited now with Sirletic coming out. Just back him straight out of you please but from a pure price perspective it’s also worth playing 1 x 3 on IDEALSOMEMAGIC (7) who is racing way too well to be $26.

$40 Win Supreme Dominator (5) at $4 or better

$5 Win & $15 Place Idealsomemagic (7) at $14 or better

He’ll need fortune from a wide draw but Villaci (7) is a better animal than most of his rivals here and seems way over the odds at $19.

SUGGESTED BET:

$15 Each Way Villaci (7) at $9 or better

Even at $1.30 BONDI LOCKDOWN (5) is way over the odds here. He simply leads and wins here while in most reasonable circumstances AMERICAN DEALER (6) finishes second though he may finish third if he settles last in a single file affair which is quite likely.
