Race 1

Confidence:

TAY TAY (9) bolted up on debut and she has since followed up with a tough second at Charlton earlier in the week when just run down late. She looks to have a future and is the more than likely winner. SOAR (10) really looked the goods in his first two and whilst he wasn’t disgraced when beaten last time, he takes on a nice one here. LOYOLA ROCKNROLLA (8) can run a place and could be the bet to run top three.

SUGGESTED BET: LOYOLA ROCKNROLLA (8) to Place

Race 2

Confidence:

SHESA POCKETROCKET (10) has been a bit hard to catch but has been good her last two culminating with her first win last time. Her confidence should be up and will be hard to beat on her Mildura debut. PLAYBOY SHADOW (11) was a beaten favourite last time but is going well. Stablemate RISING HIGH (6) got to the finish strongly last time and is a major chance as is ORAMA (5) who continues to race consistently.

SUGGESTED BET: Boxed Trifecta 5, 6, 10, 11

Race 3

Confidence:

BOTTLE ROCK (3) is a bit hot and cold but looks well-placed. He was able to win easily in his first two starts for the new stable which followed with a last place finish at Terang when things didn’t go right in a much stronger race. BALLY BARFLY (1) looks a great chance of filling the Quinella spot from the draw. AMUSED (2) will be up there.

SUGGESTED BET: BALLY BARFLY (1) to Place

Race 4

Confidence:

WILD MAN (1) looks very well placed on his Sunraysia race debut. He has been able to win two trials here, the most recent over the distance in a sub 2:00 mile rate so it would be a surprise to see him go under. GLAM ROCK (8) looks one of the multiple place chances which also include CRACKERJACKS JUDGE (3), WHITE STAR VILLAGE (6), ALWAYS A CELEBRITY (11) and GOLDEN SCRIBE (5).

SUGGESTED BET: Nothing significant

Race 5

Confidence:

PEMBROOK CHARLIE (10) is naught from four since coming to this country but this looks a suitable task despite the highest draw. YOURSNMINE (2) is on a quick back-up but looks best of the rest but has been behind PEMBROOK CHARLIE (10) in the past.

SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 10 / 2 / 3, 6, 8 ($20 gets 666.66%)

Race 6

Confidence:

ROQUEFORT CHEESE (6) continues to go well and despite the draw is the one to beat and is the best of the night. CALL ME HENRY (5) has been fourth in his last two and continues to race well but was well behind ROQUEFORT CHEESE (6) last week as was RUBBERS DILEMMA (11) who finished one place behind CALL ME HENRY (5) in the form-line race. KEAYANG SHADY (9) was a top winner two weeks ago.

SUGGESTED BET: ROQUEFORT CHEESE (6) to Win

Race 7

Confidence:

VELOX EQUUS (8) had been building up to a win before destroying them when down in class last week. On his day he is hard to catch. KING SOLOMON (7) hadn’t been doing much but has gone much better his last two and has a trailing draw. ROCKNROLL LEGEND (6) has a tough draw first-up but his best form from last preparation is good enough. ELEGANT JEWEL (3) rates next, QUEENS ANGEL (4) really caught the eye first-up and THE DEFIANT (2) has the draw to lead so that will help his winning chances but is up in class.

SUGGESTED BET: KING SOLOMON (7) Each-Way

Race 8

Confidence:

EGODAN (5) was able to win at this metropolitan level four back when divebombing on BERNIE WINKLE (6) who has since had his measure in three starts since but EGODAN (5) has had to do it tougher on each occasion but he had to lead up the field to a tearaway leader last week and whilst he was fourth of six he can bounce back although it’s a not a race I am massive to have a bet on because BERNIE WINKLE (6) had his measure three and two starts back but just beat him home last week when he was disappointing and Bernie has now been beaten in three of his last four. MURRANJI TRACK (4) could lead and pinch it like two starts back and CAULONIA TERROR (2) can’t be forgotten about being unlucky in his last two but is back up in class after being well beaten by the winner last week.

SUGGESTED BET: Nothing significant.

Race 9

Confidence:

NIL DESPERANDUM (7) has that sticky draw but has been taking on stronger opposition without being disgraced so with any luck he is the one to beat. HAPPYASLARRY (9) hasn’t been far away and it would be fair to say this is the easiest race he has run in for a while. BO CARSON (10) was good late last week, HILLDALE SUNRISE (11) finished well down the field last time but he also runs in probably the easiest race he has contested for a while.

SUGGESTED BET: NIL DESPERANDUM (7) to Win

Race 10

Confidence:

SPORTSBILLY (4) has a consistent form line for this maiden and was behind better horses last time and he does look an each-way chance in this. MISS REMBRANDT (8) resumes and dropped out in a trial, but her best is good enough, however she has loomed up on multiple occasions and not gone on with it and late last campaign was bucking in the run. TANGAROA (2) is naught from 45 but is a chance with HIS A DREAMER (7) and TERRA ROSSA (1) the other hopes.

SUGGESTED BET: Nothing significant.

Race 11

Confidence:

STONEBRIDGE STAR (7) throughout regional racing here more often than not was worth an each-way bet and seldom disappoints when it comes to consistency He drops back to the easiest race he has gone around in for a while, so he is an obvious bet in this grade of race. Stablemate VICSTAR SHARAZZZ (9) is the other obvious chance and worked home well last week which indicated he could be working back towards his best. EMERGING ART (8) finished one place ahead of him in that affair and all of these three are right down in class and are clearly the main three.

SUGGESTED BET: STONEBRIDGE STAR (7) Each-Way

Early Quaddie

It is obviously not so simple but on paper I thought both Quaddies looked simple enough, hopefully, especially the early section. I think there is no need for back-up Quaddies tonight. Tay Tay, Bottle Rock and Wild Man should all really win with four key chances in the second leg.

9 / 5, 6, 10, 11 / 3 / 1 ($4 gets 100%, $50 gets 1250%)

CONFIDENCE:

Quaddie

Pembrook Charlie and Roquefort Cheese are two of my best bets on the card and both are the best horses in the first and second legs. The third and fourth legs are much more open and it will be interesting to see how they pan out.

10 / 6 / 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 / 2, 4, 5, 6 ($24 gets 100%, $50 gets 208.33%)

CONFIDENCE:
