GOODFORM – Tips and betting plan for tonight’s nine races at Geelong

Tim O’Connor has outlined his selections and suggested game plan for tonight’s meeting at Geelong.

R1 – 6.07pm – Hoyts Food Free For All – 2100m

10 Rakero Rebel

2 Operative Line

4 Jillibyjacksparrow

6 Bach

R2 – 6.32pm – Haras Des Trotteurs Trot – 2100m

11 Jazspur

5 Keayang Stuka

1 Aldebaran Acrux

3 Majestical Belle

Tricky race this one, but thought Jazspur represented some value on the each-way given her very consistent form. Favourite Keayang Stuka can definitely win, but he got an easy time of it in the first-up win and that might not be the case here.

BACK: 11 Jazspur – 0.5 unit (each-way)

R3 – 6.59pm – Vale Neil Richmond Pace – 1609m

10 Captain Ravishing

11 Yambukian

6 Settebello

8 Hugo Maguire

R4 – 7.30pm – Apco We’ve Got You Pace – 1609m

9 Tiger Band Wagon

1 Twisted Bliss

10 Tallaras Shadow

8 All Da Rage

Tiger Band Wagon got the cash for us back on August 9 and his subsequent runs have been good. He finds a winnable race here from a nice trailing draw and I think he can prove too good.

BACK: 9 Tiger Band Wagon – 2 units (win)

R5 – 8.04pm – TAB We’re On Pace – 2100m

9 Clymenus

10 Son Of Mac

6 Crime Writer

8 Radius

Clymenus is performing well at the moment and in a race of many hopes, he’s worth a little nibble on the each-way.

BACK: 9 Clymenus – 1 unit (each-way)

R6 – 8.35pm – AC Air Pace – 1609m

4 Jilliby Willow

6 Hes From Heaven

1 Le Belle Bijoux

2 Roarforroscoe

R7 – 9.09pm – Evolution Lodge Trotters Free For All – 2100m

7 Callmethebreeze

1 One Over All

4 Ollivici

6 Queen Elida

Callmethebreeze is an established star of trotting and his first-up win for new trainer Andy Gath was simply outstanding. I reckon he’s the second best squaregaiter in this country behind champion Just Believe and he should be too classy here.

BACK: 7 Callmethebreeze – 3 units (win)

R8 – 9.46pm – Corio Pizza Pace – 1609m

10 Mona Mia

7 Another Nien

3 Steel Ruler

5 Gilty By The Beach

R9 – 10.17pm – Ocira Concrete Structures Trot – 2100m

3 Old Villa Boy

6 Hephaestus Phoenix

10 Im Bobby

8 El Resamo

Old Villa Boy made mistakes in his first-up run at Terang, but charged through the line in the concluding stages. His form last preparation boasts a win over the handy Imperial Monarch and I think he appeals as a good each-way bet in a race where Im Bobby looks a touch short in the market and Hephaestus Phoenix has been out of form.

BACK: 3 Old Villa Boy – 1 unit (each-way)

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
