GOODFORM – TOC’s thoughts on Kilmore’s big meeting

Tim O’Connor has done the form and provides his tips and betting strategy for tonight’s Kilmore Pacing Cup card.

R1 – 6.03pm – C&M Build Group Pace – 2180m

13 Young Bluey

3 Crime Writer

10 Hes A Meister

11 Louie Lou I

Early shoppers did well finding the $16 this morning for Young Bluey, but I’m still keen to play each-way in an open event to start the card. He’s been working up to full fitness through the Vicbred Super Series – where he made the four-year-old boys’ final – and might be ready to unleash one of his blistering sprints tonight.

BACK: 13 Young Bluey – 0.5 unit (each-way)

R2 – 6.33pm – J & A Mazzetti NMW Pace – 2180m

9 Valiente

12 Kendys Butterfly

5 Therockgod

11 Dat Lou

Very even race here, but I have been really taken by the way Valiente has been hitting the line for trainer Ben Pell. Should get a nice run through from the second line here and will be storming home late.

BACK: 9 Valiente – 0.5 unit (win)/1.5 unit (place)

R3 – 7.03pm – TAB Trot – 2180m

2 Dichotomy

1 Keayang Gucci

8 Tweedledee

9 Berriesandcherries

Dichotomy’s recent form is great, including a brilliant run in the Vicbred final when she flashed home from back in the field to finish fifth to Rapid Return. Keen.

BACK: 2 Dichotomy – 2.5 units (win)

R4 – 7.33pm – Reg Withers 3yo Classic – 2180m

9 Hes From Heaven

8 Our Luciano

4 Browniesatmidnight

7 Meteor Moth

R5 – 8.03pm – MC Labour Kilmore Trotters Cup – 3150m

12 Callmethebreeze

8 Keayang Chucky

9 One Over All

6 Parisian Artiste

R6 – 8.33pm – Jet Roofing Kilmore Pacing Cup – 2690m

4 District Attorney

7 Better Eclipse

12 Hector

6 Major Moth

R7 – 9.03pm – 7-Eleven Cup – 2180m

7 Keayang Tokyo

9 Kowalski Analysis

5 Roarforroscoe

3 Classic Mission

Got Keayang Tokyo on top here but given the nice back row draw and his form this campaign, I’m keen to have an each-way play on Kowalski Analysis.

BACK: 9 Kowalski Analysis – 1 unit (each-way)

R8 – 9.33pm – O’Brien Electrical Trot – 2180m

6 Hes A Hammer

7 El Resamo

1 Vici Bloom

3 Aldebaran Acrux

Group 1 winner Hes A Hammer showed us his class following a long lay-off with a truly dominant victory at Maryborough last time out. He looks well placed to score again here.

BACK: 6 Hes A Hammer – 2.5 units (win)

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.

More money will be directed to breeders under a change to Vicbred first-win bonus allocations, which will take effect in Victoria from October 13.

Victorian hobby trainer Peter Wallis has broken a 28-year drought from the winner’s circle, preparing five-year-old gelding Orch (Lincoln Royal) to a victory at the Melton harness racing meeting on Friday night (Sept 26).
