The Trots Country Cups Carnival and Australasia’s free-for-all landscape are among the feature items in the forthcoming October-November edition of the Harness Racer, which will soon be on its way to mailboxes.
Subscriptions for Victoria’s trots magazine can now be finalised online at www.thetrots.shop, with subscribers receiving six editions and the 2019-20 calendar for only $45.
Trots fans are urged to sign up today, with subscriptions needing to be received by 10am tomorrow (Tuesday, September 18) to guarantee delivery of the October-November edition.
The forthcoming edition takes a look at the 25 pacing cups and 24 trotting cups that make up the Trots Country Cups Championship, including a chat with Pam Hockham, owner-breeder of reigning pacing champion Shadow Sax, and Lucy McCormick’s in-depth feature on the Conroy family and trainer Mick Barby, whose mare Regal Pepperell secured the trotting title amid a challenging 12 months.
This edition of the Harness Racer also takes a dive into December’s Inter Dominion and October’s Pryde’s EasiFeed Victoria Cup, with Michael Guerin previewing the New Zealand assault and the Grand Circuit podcast’s Jason Bonnington and Blake Redden delving into the pacing landscape.
The issue will also feature its regular columns, including David Martin’s CEO report, a column by HRV’s new General Manager of Racing Stephen Bell and the Harness Racer welcomes Noel Ridge, who looks at Sparkling Success’ lineage in his first column for Bendigo’s History and Memorabilia Collection.
