Harnessed: Jenkins and Stanley look at Chariots and Terang

A monster Saturday night at the trots gets a good working over as Josh Jenkins fires up a special Harnessed episode, this time joined by his mate Mick Stanley to break down the features.

Featuring in TrotsVision On Demand, Jenkins’ Harnessed vodcast flushed out Stanley’s expectations for star four-year-old Rock N Roll Doo in the forthcoming Chariots Of Fire.

“We have had a high opinion of him for quite a while,” Stanley said. “He has been a difficult horse to get comfortable in his gait at that high speed. He got into a few bad habits along the way.

“We’ve thrown him into the deep end in a few of those bigger races and used them to be able to drive him and teach him to be a better racehorse.”

The stable also has a live chance in the Terang Co-Op Pacing Cup, the headliner on Saturday night’s TrotsVision.com.au coverage.

Stanley has prepared Rackemup Tigerpie for the $50,000 leg of the Trots Country Cups Championship.

“He flashed to the line his last start behind Like A Wildfire,” he told Harnessed. “The 2600 metres really suits him, he’s trained on exceptionally well.

“Just a little bit worried Willie Go West might find the front and it’s a little bit of dawdle early, I’m hoping there’s a little bit of speed mid-race and I think he can really give the race a shake at good odds.”
