HBV celebrates last year’s stars of the breeding industry

Harness Breeders Victoria has announced its major award winners for the 2023 season.

Awards incorporate full 2023 HBV members and their horses, and factor in only the results of those that are Vicbred-eligible.

Woodlands Stud Victorian Breeder of the Year – Paul Kahlefeldt (Redbank Lodge)

Benstud Standardbreds Victorian Pacing Broodmare of the Year – Coppagoodone, bred from by Benstud Standardbreds

Aldebaran Park Victorian Trotting Broodmare of the Year – Justa Phoenix, bred from by Ash Haynes and Chris Shaw

Mero Printing Ian Daff Memorial Award – Pat Driscoll (Yabby Dam Farms)

Championship Awards

(Where the breeder of any Victorian Horse of the Year (across the gender/gait/age categories) was Vicbred-eligible and bred by a 2023 HBV member, they will be presented with a trophy by HBV)
