Herbertson makes his Ballarat Cup decision

Elite young reinsman James Herbertson would have felt like a kid in a candy shop when the Group 2 Ballarat Pacing Cup fields dropped.

The 24-year-old had the choice to steer Shepparton Cup winner Kanena Provlima,  Mach Dan who he piloted in last year’s Victoria Cup, but has chosen Bendigo Cup champion Bulletproof Boy for Saturday’s $100,000 event.

Herbertson has piloted the Scott Ewen trained 10-year-old on three occasions and has never missed the placings securing wins at Melton and Bendigo a fortnight ago.
