Horse ownership: Process moved online

The days of paperwork having to be sent all over the countryside to transfer horse ownership in the trots are no longer in Victoria.

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is pleased to announce online transfer of horse ownership has arrived and is live at Harnessweb.

Victoria is proud to have developed this process with Racing Information Services Enterprise (RISE) and HRV is confident Victorian participants will find the transfer of horse ownership procedure easier than ever.

“It’s great we can announce this as live because the old process was admittedly arduous. That’s certainly the feedback we received from industry,” HRV General Manager – Racing Stephen Bell said.

“We listened and we’re confident the new system will be much more user-friendly.

“I’d like to publicly acknowledge the diligent work of RISE on this project. The hope is other jurisdictions will see this improvement and utilise the technology developed for the betterment of their participants.”
