Impressive Bluey gives TAB punter reason to cheer

Young Bluey closed last week’s Hamilton card in style and one big TAB punter was happier than most with the result.

The customer placed a $9700 wager on the Matthew Craven-trained runner at $2.15 before his victory in the Matthews Petroleum Pace.

Young Bluey sat in the one-one for much of the 1660m trip before driver Glen Craven pulled him out three-wide approaching the home straight and he sprinted well enough to score by almost 3m on the line.

It proved one of the big collects by TAB punters on Victorian harness racing last week.
