Joy as Joelita clings on to land TAB punter a huge collect

It went down to a photo, but one big TAB customer was crowing after Joelita landed the plunge at Hamilton on Sunday.

The Margaret Lee-trained pacer led and clung on to beat Curyo Gentleman by a short half-head, with one punter collecting over $15,000 after placing $5000 on the five-year-old mare at $3.10.

Among the significant misses with the TAB on Victorian harness racing last week were two big wagers on Invitation Only at Shepparton.

Separate bets of $10,000 and $5000 were lobbed on the Isabel Walsh-prepared runner, who put up a brave fight but went down by just over a metre to Tangoingwithsierra on Saturday evening.
