Emerging star Keayang Ignite established a track record in a brilliant all the way harness racing win in the Llowalong Farms Swan Hill Trotters Cup.

Having only his eighth race start, Keayang Ignite ($1.85 fav) worked to the early lead from the front row while his main dangers One Over All and Mufasa Metro gave chase from their 30-meter backmarks over the 2790-meter journey.

Jason Lee allowed Keayang Ignite more rein down the back straight as One Over All emerged from the pack as the pair put a gap in their rivals with Keayang Ignite holding a five-meter margin on the line from One Over All with Mufasa Metro a distant third after galloping at the 600-meter mark.

The winner returned a track record mile rate of 2:00.6.

Keayang Ignite, who is trained by Lee’s brother Paddy, won his first four starts prior to having his career interrupted due to injury enforcing almost a four-year absence from the racetrack.

“It's been an awesome effort from Paddy to get this horse back obviously hes had his fair share of issues and he could have given up, but he knew how good the horse is and all credit to the family at home,” Lee said.
