Lee’s starry night shoots him to the top of Metrospective Medal

Jason Lee’s trifecta of victories in the sulky on Friday night have shot him to a clear lead in the Metrospective Medal, drawing a season high 12 votes.

The inaugural award has co-hosts of the Metrospective podcast each dividing six votes among drivers after Tabcorp Park Melton meetings, with Lee’s dominance at the weekend drawing four votes from each of Blake Redden, Cody Winnell and Michael Howard.

That result propelled him to 22 votes after eight rounds, three clear of Kate Gath with Luke McCarthy (13 votes), Kima Frenning (12 votes) and Chris Alford (8.5 votes) filling out the top five.

The Metrospective Medal is part of the weekly Monday podcast, which delves into the weekend’s racing, taking a particularly close look at events at Tabcorp Park Melton.
