LISTEN: Six-time Olympian chats harness racing on TrotsLife

Six-time Olympian Mary Hanna joined TrotsLife host Toby McKinnon for a wonderful chat about her career in equestrian and recent journey into harness racing.

Hanna, who competed at the 1996, 2000, 2004, 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Games, has ventured into trots ownership through an association with champion trainer Chris Lang and breeder Emmanuel Baldacchino.

Hanna and Baldacchino bred a bay filly and now race her as Heavensville with Lang, who drove the two-year-old pacer to second place on debut at Maryborough last week.

“We often go around and watch her work, and it’s just so nice to have quite an involvement with the horse,” she said.
