RISE Racing provides update on participant data breach

RISE Racing was recently impacted by a cybersecurity incident that affected access to its central racing management platform, Harvey.

Its investigation confirmed data files from 2017 to 2022 were accessed during this breach, including some participant information.

RISE Racing has worked with external cybersecurity and forensic experts to contain and investigate the incident, and full operational access was reinstated shortly after.

RISE Racing advised its response was significant and ongoing, and it continued to work with law enforcement agencies and external cybersecurity and privacy experts, including the Australian Cyber Security Centre and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Impacted participants have been notified. RISE Racing advised that it treats participants’ privacy with the utmost importance and is communicating with them on how to manage the breach and what they can do to be vigilant.

Participants who have questions can contact RISE Racing at cybersecurity@riseracing.com or on 1300 556 649.
