Peter Rost is a much-loved member of the SENTrack family and showed his tipping prowess with victory in last Wednesday’s Survivor competition.
Rost outlasted more than 480 entrants and pocketed the $500 prize by selecting a top two place-getter in the opening nine races during night two of the TAB FastTrack 1200 series at Melton.
He selected Shady Dancer (first), Twinkle Twinkle (second), Treacherous Reign (first), Mister Finnigan (second), Bolramski (first), Beach Hopper (first), Iron Love (first), Heatseeker (second) and Kyvalley Archer (second) before his run came to an end when My High Peak placed third in the 10th event on the card.
Rost was locked together with one other entrant that reached race 10 and was then declared the winner via a random draw.
“I must admit I’ve been more a thoroughbred and greyhounds sort of bloke, but listening to SEN I’ve been learning a lot more about the trots and I honestly thought that format with the FastTrack was absolutely brilliant,” Rost told Toby McKinnon on SENTrack’s TrotsLife.
“I do have a brother who’s not with us anymore, but he actually worked with Ross Sugars a long, long time ago, so I had a bit of faith in Greg Sugars and he got me home a couple which was good.”
Entries for night three of FastTrack 1200 SEN Survivor are now being taken.
How does it work? It’s simple.
Log on to the SEN Survivor home page, sign up and select one horse from each of this Wednesday night’s races. If your tip finishes in the top two, you survive. Get one wrong and you’re out. Last person standing wins $500.
