Saturday night fields: Over $500k up for grabs as Nutrien finals headline Melton card

More than $500,000 in prizemoney will go up for grabs during a blockbuster night of racing at Melton Entertainment Park on Saturday.

Four rich Nutrien Equine Classic finals for the two-year-old and three-year-old trotters are the features following heats at Bendigo last week, while the $50,000 VHRC Caduceus Classic will see the likes of Catch A Wave, Keayang Tokyo, Kanena Provlima and Yambukian battle it out for Group 3 glory.

Another highlight is the appearance of one of the state’s most improved horses, Im Bobby, who chases a seventh-straight win in the Aldebaran Park Trotters Handicap from 30m.

The Caduceus Classic will kick-start the 10-race card from 6.02pm, with the TAB confirming a $10,000 jackpot on First 4 in the opening event of the night.
