Ahead of hosting Night 2 of the SENTrack Inter Dominion, Shepparton's harness racing track delivered a couple of Trial File eye-catchers.
Both Cannon Beach and Ima Destroyer earned spots in the Blackbook after impressive displays on Tuesday.
Previously Cannon Beach had had just the one start for trainer/driver Ian Montgomery, an eighth at Kilmore at the end of March, but got out of the gates well this week, took a seat and then mowed down race winner Big Bad Ossie to score.
Ima Destroyer, who raced for Brent Thomson before a New South Wales stint in autumn with KerryAnn Morris, also impressed at Shepparton's Tuesday trials. He led throughout to score ahead of three-time winner Bitta Irish Luck.
Replays of their hit-outs plus all the highlights from the Victorian trials circuit below, with the Blackbook at the bottom of the page.
MARYBOROUGH 20/11/22
Trial 1: - Only two horses contested the open class trial with RADIUS getting the judges nod over BETTER BE THE BOMB. RADIUS took the trail around the first bend, came to the outside on the home corner and was able to sprint home best in a slick final half. He must be considered as a winning chance at Ballarat tomorrow night and BETTOR BE THE BOMB will continue to run honest races during the Inter Dominion series. He has drawn well in the opening heat.

Trial 8: - JUST ABIT DUSTY has galloped in all of his starts to date but he is yet to race from behind the mobile, which is an opportunity he gains at Melton this evening. He trailed the leader and ran home well through the middle at his trial victory and if he does everything right in his race track appearance tonight, should prove very hard to beat. ZESTA LA GO GO settled three back on the inside, moved away from the markers at the 700m and hung out on the home turn but was able to hold down second spot.
Mile Rate: - 2.8.1 Last Half: - 60.3 Margins: - 6m, 8m
GEELONG 21/11/22

Trial 2: - CANNON BEACH began quickly and pressed forward to run to the lead at the 1700m. He took cover behind BIG BAD OSSIE at the 1100m before coming to the outside on the home turn. Trial 4: - IMA DESTROYER was able to lead throughout and defeated BITTA IRISH LUCK. He was in a good rhythm throughout and looked to be jogging going down to the line so it was an impressive performance.
