Stewart dominates again with three winners from the same family line

Premier horsewoman Emma Stewart registered a unique treble in Bendigo Tuesday night.

Stewart is no stranger to preparing multiple winners on a card, including an Australian record nine wins at a meeting, which she has achieved on three occasions.

In fact, Stewart is the only trainer in the nation to appear on each list – five, six, seven, eight and nine winners – on a card.

As for her latest multi, Stewart’s haul was interesting given the trio were maidens and more so as they hail from the same family.

Carrying huge wraps before hitting the track, Seaside Boy lived up to the hype with a 13-and-a-half metre win after racing in the ‘death seat’.

Adding credence to the two-year-old’s performance is a 1:52.8 mile rate over 1650 metres!

By Downbytheseaside, the colt is from All The Magic – a half-sister to Celebrity Guest, the dam of Stewart’s second winner, Most Exciting.

Also a two-year-old, Most Exciting was caught three-wide early before working to the lead on his way to 1:54.3 triumph.

Beach Dancer rounded out the family affair with a strong 1:54.2 performance after also racing outside the leader.

Like the previous two, the three-year-old was bred by Peter Gleeson and traces back to his amazing foundation mare Larrakeyah Lady.

A handy racehorse, which captured the 1999 Sires’ Stake Final at Moonee Valley, Larrakeyah Lady has proven to be a broodmare wonder.

Not only does she boast nine winners from 10 starters, her daughters are producing a host of Group One winners.

Larrakeyah Lady’s foals include Safe And Sound, Massarua, Gold Rocket and The Good Times.

Other outstanding winners tracing back to Larrakeyah Lady include Ride High, Beauty Secret, Major Secret, Rocknroll Magic, Lovelist, The Pantheist, Out To Play, High Above, Always Hot and Treachery to name a handful.
