TAB FastTrack 1200 to get hearts racing this August at Melton

Harness Racing Victoria has scheduled 15 1200-metre pacing races, which have been evenly spread across three consecutive Wednesday nights at Melton in August.

The initiative is geared at stimulating wagering and creating a marketable mid-week product that can be amplified across HRV’s media partners, and in turn broaden the sport’s fan base and celebrate the industry’s participants.

Set for August 9, 16 and 23, TAB FastTrack 1200 builds on thrilling racing seen in The Stampede, Mercury80 and Queensland’s Trot Rods, sprint racing that offers greater interest to wagering partners, their customers and a young demographic.

Racing classes for the 1200-metre races are as follows:

Wednesday, August 9, Melton (all random barrier draws):

  • $10,000 no rating (have not won a race of $15k or more)
  • $7000 NR 50-55
  • $7000 NR up to 50
  • $7000 4YO+ (nil lifetime wins)
