CALGARY BAY (1) is seldom far away and is close to a win and can go very close from a lovely peg draw which should see her enjoy a nice economical run. THIS IS BILL (10) obviously has to be respected joining Scott Garraway. ARTEGRA (5) was only ok when winning last week but when at his best from the front he is hard to pass with STONES CORNER (8) an interesting runner, if starting, off a big run last week.

SOAR (3) is a Luke Watson prepared debutante by Fly Like An Eagle that was impressive in his solitary trial on Sunday when leading and winning hard held in a mile rate of 2:00.2. I seem to have said this a lot recently but that sort of mile rate at the Mildura Sunday morning trials is very good, let alone for a juvenile having it’s first trial. Stable produced Vicbred winner Flojos Gold a few years ago and could have another good one here. KURUN EXPRESS (1) was second in that trial and again from the leader’s back can run the Quinella spot. ORAMA (10) is probably best of the three-year-old’s but SHADY JESS (7) has the pegs draw and it may very well be a peg line dominated trifecta.

ROBERT CROCKA (3) is ready to win after some good runs and even though BETTERTHANFEDERER (6) has beaten him home a few times, the tables could be turned here with the former having the draw advantage. BETTERTHANFEDERER (6) comes off a 1:57.9 Globe Derby victory first-up though so has to be given massive respect. MISTER JIMARINGLE (8) and COSTLY MISTAKE (7) will be around the mark as per normal.

DRAGONTOWN (8) had no luck in a much stronger race last week so on that it is hard to go past him, but all of these can win on their day. FALCONS BEAUTY (1) is flying but rises in class whilst amongst others MINIKA (3), PATTYS ANGEL (5), WOODY NIGHTSHADE (6) and THOMAS HEIGHTS (7) can all win with the right run.

Hardest race of the night. SMYNANNA MICKEY (7) has the trailing draw behind the leader and her best is clearly good enough so she can improve with the nice draw. HEAVEN ATTRACTS (9) is obviously good enough with ROCKTAGONAL (2), CLASSIC REACTOR (3), MACH HU (5) and WILSHIRE BOULEVARD (6) all Each-Way chances whilst THE DEFIANT (1) rises significantly in class.
SUGGESTED BET: SMYNANNA MICKEY (7) Each-Way
Race 6
Confidence:
GRINAGAIN (1) draws well and after some good runs looks to have a found a suitable race with a suitable draw a bonus. Stablemate STONES CORNER (4) is interesting if starting. AMUSED (3) has obvious each-way claims whilst ALWAYS A CELEBRITY (2) is racing well and CRACKERJACKS JUDGE (9) the X factor.

STONEBRIDGE STAR (6) again has to be a value chance after being good last week against stronger, he just needs the right run forward. RUBBERS DILEMMA (8) rates highly as does three-year-old filly POPNPENNIES (1). GOOD ONYA (4) and NIGHT SAFARI (5) both had no luck last week.

BERNIE WINKLE (6) was beaten last week so maybe because he was beaten, he was possibly disappointing, but he was far from disgraced and can bounce back. The question is does EGODAN (7) punch through to follow the likely leader or ease back to be back with BERNIE WINKLE (6)? If the latter is the case, it could be a real game of cat and mouse. CAULONIA TERROR (2) is flying and again will be up there whilst MURRANJI TRACK (5) could pop up at overs after having little luck last week.

GRAFFITI LOMBO (2) hasn’t won for a year but has been going well enough at Globe Derby recently and should take a lot of beating first-up for Andrew Vozlic. ITZEXCEPTIONAL (11) is the class runner but has the tough draw. HILLDALE SUNRISE (6) rates next whilst VIEIRA (10) continues to drop-in class and could win one soon at decent odds at this level.

Very tough maiden to close the card. CABALLO DIABLO (2) makes start 40 tonight but is ready to win and can go very close indeed. HIS A DREAMER (4), the quirky but speedy PARTYWITHMACH (3) and debutante CULLENS COPY (1) are all chances.
