A showdown between brilliant last-start winners Sleepee, Keayang Livana and Illawong Stardust provides a mouth-watering storyline to this Saturday night's IRT Australia Matriarch Trot at Tabcorp Park Melton.

Sleepee proved giant-killer when she emerged from a spell to run down Cover Of Darkness and win last weekend's Woodlands Stud Noopy Kiosk Trotters Free For All on the same card that saw Illawong Stardust overcome a back row draw and wide run for the last lap to take out the Melton City Council Trot.

Keayang Livana wasn't at the races last Saturday, but made a stunning return from a break seven days earlier with a big triumph in the Hygain La Coocaracha Trotters Free For All.

The three look among the key players for the $30,000 Group 2 feature alongside Matthew Craven's star duo Pink Galahs and Queen Of Crime, David Miles' Emerald Stride and Andy Gath's Monaro Maro.

The TAB Blacks A Fake Free For All for the fast class pacers is also a cracker.

David Aiken's top guns Malcolms Rhythm, Sirletic and Max Delight have drawn alongside one another in barriers four, five and six in a race that includes Shadow Sax (Craven) and Code Bailey (Margaret Lee) among the field of eight.

Another big week is planned on Trots Vision, with the Melton meeting one of those to get expansive coverage via thetrots.com.au.
