The return of Australian two-year-old trotting colt or gelding Dont Care is an exciting mid-week treat for harness racing fans at Geelong.
The Kate Hargreaves-trained squaregaiter hasn't been seen since his victory in the Group 1 Vicbred Super Series final on New Year's Eve, but is set to resume in Wednesday night's Barwon Facilities Maintenance 3YO Trot at Beckley Park.
Hargreaves was excited to see her young star back in action and felt the horse seemed to have come back better as a three-year-old.
"His work at home has been good," Hargreaves said.
"He is the type of horse that needs racing to get him back to his best so the run will do him good."
The Used To Me gelding's first-up assignment is a major highlight of the week, which builds up to the massive Group 1 card at Tabcorp Park Melton on Saturday night.
Of course, four Australian Pacing Gold finals are part of the meeting, which will carry over $1million in prizemoney across the 11 races.
The barrier draws for each of the finals were conducted at the HRV offices in Flemington on Tuesday morning. To watch the replay, CLICK HERE.
A big day is also planned at Horsham on Friday, with every race on the Victorian Harness Racing Club/Australian Pacing Gold/Australasian Premier Trotting Sale Super Bonus Race Series card carrying significant cash boosts and vouchers for owners and trainers.
As usual, Trots Vision coverage will be live and free at every meeting to bring you all the highlights of another big week of racing in Victoria.
