Here's this week's edition of The Trial File.

As usual Black Book horses to follow can be found at the bottom of the review.

Shepparton 27/06/19

Trial 1: - BEE GEE CEE pushed forward from a wide draw to gain the lead 300m after the start. He ran along at a genuine tempo and raced away for a very easy victory. FEELING ENERJETIC led out then took cover behind the eventual winner. He held onto the back of BEE GEE CEE mid-race and was 30m in front of the remainder of the field at the bell. He dropped off the back of the winner late but did a good job to hold down second. A GOOD KNIGHT gained the one out and one back trail and was momentarily out three horses wide at the bell before moving into a clear fourth in the back straight. He chased hard in the final circuit and got up to finish third. THREE LEAF CLOVER was left stranded without cover and also did a lot of chasing in the final lap. He finished fourth in front of THE TALK (Somebeachsomewhere – Serenity Franco), which settled four back on the markers. SECRET IDENTITY raced very greenly when five back on the markers but beat home stable mate STORMTIDE (Mach Three – Aquae Sulis 2.3.0, $5,319) (1-2) and also ROXIT GOOD (Pet Rock – Sailors Atom) (3 back markers).

Mile Rate: - Not Given    Final Half: - Not Given    Margins: - 20m, 5m (approximately)

BLACKBOOKER: - Bee Gee Cee

Trial 2: - It was an extremely slow trial for the open class pacers with HEREHECOMES trailing the leader BETTERMATCH and showing too much zip for him in the dash up the straight. Both pacers weren’t fully extended. ROLL ALONG STYX more than held his own late, which was a good effort for the C2 assessed pacer but keep in mind a normal race speed would be at least seven seconds faster (approximately 100m) than the mile rate recorded. SHE KEEPS COMING was last of the four runners throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.0             Final Half: - 58.9               Margins: - Head, 2m

Trial 3: - This trial was run upside down with MAORI QUEEN racing very fiercely and setting up a genuine tempo after dashing to the lead in the early stages. MOTORING HALL attempted to follow and that pair established a big break over the chasers in BACARDI WOOD, MAJIC FAIR and BARHOON (Yankee Spider – El Twotter). SOPHIES YANK made an error at the start and was always tailed off. As a consequence of the hectic early tempo, the final half was run in a slow 65.0 seconds and the race changed complexion late. It was a great drive by Rebecca Bartley, saving every inch of ground on BARHOON and she came from last of the five competitive runners to defeat BACARDI WOOD narrowly with MAJIC FAIR finishing a close up third. MOTORING HALL and MAORI QUEEN both got very tired late but they weren’t beaten by far.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.9             Final Half: - 65.0               Margins: - Head, Head

Trial 4: - SHOSHONI BRAVE pushed forward from a wide draw to find the lead and once in front, the field settled in single file. JULIACA speared to the early lead then took cover and was followed by NATIONAL DRAFT. ATOMISTIC (Cams Fool – Miss Atomic 1.56.6, $72,851) was four back on the markers and was trailed by CLASSIC ARC, LAST ARTIST and EIGHT GAUGE was last of the seven runners. ATOMISTIC was the first to break the formation and quickly moved up without cover at the 700m mark with CLASSIC ARC attempting to trail him forward. SHOSHONI BRAVE had a good kick at the end however and raced away in the straight to win easily. ATOMISTIC battled on well for second from NATIONAL DRAFT (Muckalee Strike – Almalia 2.2.3, $14,010), which poked through along the sprint lane and edged out JULIACA for third.  CLASSIC ARC (Art Major – Classic Life 1.58.1, $28,605) finished fifth in front of LAST ARTIST and EIGHT GAUGE (Betterthancheddar – Tycoon Tess 2.0.6, $2,861).

Mile Rate: - 2.5.6             Final Half: - 59.1               Margins: - 12m, 2m

Trial 5: - SMASH IT probably races best over the sprint distances but she has been in winning form and she proved to be the class runner of the trial. She settled four back on the markers before moving up without cover at the 1100m and dashed to the front with 500m remaining. BET THE LIMIT led out then took cover behind AMARANDA, which in turn took a trail behind ARTISTIC HEAT. BET THE LIMIT finished solidly from third at the quarter pole to pick up a clear second from AMARANDA. CRACKED PEPPER was five back on the markers throughout and worked into fourth, passing ARTISTIC HEAT, which yielded ground from the 500m.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.6             Final Half: - 60.9               Margins: - 6m, 8m

Ballarat 29/06/19

Trial 1: - IONA DIAMOND settled last of the four runners and came to the outside with 500m remaining. She sprinted quickly in the last quarter of the race and dashed away to record an easy victory. AUCKLAND RED and INDIGO DANCER went quickly for the first 200m with AUCKLAND RED finding the front running role. He set up an even speed and battled on well for second. HUGGER was able to run into third passed INDIGO DANCER over the concluding stages.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.9             Final Half: - 61.1               Margins: - 12m, 4m

Mile Rate: - 2.11.0           Final Half: - 61.2               Margins: - 5m, 150m

Trial 3: - MAYBELLINE FOX led throughout in the wet and windy conditions, scoring effortlessly. OUR SAFARI SUN settled three back on the markers (last) and came to the outside approaching the final corner. He was able to get over the top of ALL STARZZZ MEGAN late to finish in second position.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.3             Final Half: - 60.5               Margins: - 6m, 1m

He defeated OURBEACHSOMEWHERE, which hasn’t raced since a Terang victory in December, and TOGETHERWEDREAM finished third. TOGETHERWEDREAM hasn’t raced for over two years. MARKS JOY was the most loosely assessed horse in the field and finished last of the four.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.4             Final Half: - 59.0               Margins: - 7m, 5m

Trial 3: - ITSAMAJOR SURPRISE is now with trainer Matthew Craven and won the maiden class trial in a slow mile rate. Three unraced pacers TUESDAYS EDITION (Sportswriter – Martedi), ROLLAWAYJO (Rock N Roll Heaven – Lewisienna Jo 1.57.3, $46,081) and THE APPEAL (Artesian – Kiriah Keys) finished third, fourth and fifth respectively. CULLECTNGO was last of the six runners.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.9             Final Half: - 61.9               Margins: - 3m, 8m

Mildura 30/06/19

Trial 1: - MISS REMBRANDT settled last of the five runners and took advantage of a strong mid-race speed to run over the top of the leader CAULONIA TERROR and win the trial narrowly. CAULONIA TERROR showed good gate speed to lead and had to repel a strong surge from COSTADOLLAR coming up to the bell. He battled back strongly when headed and put in a good performance to go down only by a head margin. BEAUTYS SHADOW trailed the leader throughout and ended up finishing a distant third. COSTADOLLAR raced without cover throughout and after going quickly mid-race, began to yield at the 500m mark. RAINBEACHGIRL (Sunshine Beach – Surstromming 1.58.8, $149,119) was the only unraced horse competing in the field and finished at the tail after settling three back on the markers shortly after the start.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.9           Final Half: - 60.6               Margins: - Head, 27m

Trial 2: - ACE MONTANA was able to dash to the lead in the early stages and ran along at an even tempo. He remained strong down the home straight and comfortably held off the challenge of FRANKNTANK. FRANKNTANK was able to get in behind the leader on the first turn. He chased determinedly in the latter stages and beat the remainder of the field by a large margin but he couldn’t peg back ACE MONTANA at the finish. PUOPOLO was four back on the markers and appeared to be under pressure at the quarter pole but he battled away to finish third. GRACEFUL ART was without cover but a long way from the leader for the majority of the journey. He finished fourth in front of THELONGHAUL, which trailed him throughout. MALLEE JET (Dawn ofa New Day – Forget The Frills 2.3.8, $6,060) was behind the leader on the first turn but he paced roughly and abruptly shifted out. He was momentarily without cover before easing onto the markers to be three back with 1300m remaining. He yielded ground in the latter stages and finished last of the six.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.3             Final Half: - 59.4               Margins: - 6m, 38m

Trial 3: - MISSUS APPLEBEE trailed the leader METRO IMAGE throughout and sprinted home too well in the run to the finish. HEADMASTER came from three back on the markers and was able to pick up METRO IMAGE right on the post. RHYFLECTIVE galloped away and was retired from the trial.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.0             Final Half: - 60.7               Margins: - 6m, 1/2m

Mile Rate: - 2.0.5             Final Half: - 57.7               Margin: - 15m

Trial 2: - VUITTON trailed the leader OUR DOREEN DAYS and showed superior speed in the run to the finish. OUR DOREEN DAYS finished second and may have had a gear issue as driver Nigel Milne was frequently looking down at the hopples on the nearside. SURBITON CHARDONAY (Safari – Corksapopin 2.3.0, $5,915) was the only unraced horse competing in the trial and was last of the three runners throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.2             Final Half: - 62.1               Margins: - 2m, 4m

Trial 3: - GRACIE CULLEN has always shown some ability and she was able to lead throughout and win the trial comfortably seemingly with something in reserve. SPRINGA trailed GRACIE CULLEN throughout and lost ground in the straight but managed to hold down second. MAJOR BANKS (Major Bronski – Bed And Bank 2.3.2, $2,250) settled three back on the markers and finished third. He was trailed throughout by VILLAGE RHYTHM (Village Jolt – Girls Got Rhythm 2.0.9, $34,313), which stayed in fourth and SURBITON HARTBREAK (Courage Under Fire – Queena Harts Lombo (placed) $15,875) broke stride with 1300m remaining and was last throughout.

Trial 4: - ASH PARK (Lincoln Royal – Strangeasitsounds 1.56.1, $53,963) was last of the three for the majority of the trial but he quickly pursued his two rivals in the latter stages and was able to jog to the line to win well. He went to the line untouched and could have won by further had James Herbertson allowed him to stride. LEXIES BETTER (Betterthancheddar – Yeronga Silky) eased out at the start but with a very slow tempo, Michael Bellman pushed forward and found the lead going around the first corner. He finished second with LA GIOCONDA (Tiz A Masterpiece – Mumsthaword Lombo 2.0.9, $17,758) in third after trailing the speed.

Mile Rate: - 2.9.9             Final Half: - 63.2               Margins: - 1m, 12m

Trial 5: - RIGONDEAUX trailed the leader until cutting loose from the 600m mark where he quickly established a big lead and was untroubled in scoring. HIGHWAY HUNTSMAN (Yankee Spider – Coral Grace) settled three back on the inside and by the time he came away from the markers, RIGONDEAUX was already a long way clear. He ran into second position and was well ahead of the early leader REMI FLYER. REMI FLYER trotted very roughly and wanted to hang in at times. She finished third ahead of WHIRILY ROLLS (Roll With Joe – Formalize), which was third early but galloped shortly after the start.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.3             Final Half: - 61.4               Margins: - 30m, 15m

Trial 6: - WHOS COUNTN showed very good gate speed to spear to a nice lead shortly after the start. He eased off the speed mid-race and had a good kick left at the finish. AMUNET trailed the leader throughout and rallied late via the sprint lane but just failed. CAESARION (Julius Caesar – The Cove Grey) is a pacer and he sat without cover throughout in his endeavour to defeat the trotters. He finished a close up third. PIESRIDINGSHOTGUN was three back on the markers and was held up for a run at a vital stage. He finished quickly to gain fourth and wasn’t far from the top three. 01TIARA HALL (Angus Hall – Maoris Crown 2.6.2, $57,060) began slowly and settled at the rear of the field. She ended up being in the one out and one back trail late and finished in fifth. ROI DU SOLEIL (Danny Bouchea – Rockin Wilma 2.2.9, $59,390) trotted roughly in the score up and eventually galloped. He lost 20m but was still with the pack. He then trotted very roughly at the 500m and started to lose ground at that point.

Mile Rate: - 2.9.7             Final Half: - 63.9               Margins: - Neck, Head

Trial 7: - All of the trotters stepped away safely from the standing start but it was a very slow early speed. DYNAMIC DIESEL (Im Stately – Hilltown Ashley) was the best to begin and was able to lead throughout. AUNTY ETHAL (Pegasus Spur – Gordon Idol) was very slow into stride and was given time to balance up. She ended up being third when GLENGARIFF, which trailed the leader early, broke stride. She gave DYNAMIC DIESEL a big start and motored to the line to run second but the sectional times were very slow. INDEFENSIBLE (Armbro Variable – Mental Power 2.4.7, $79,731) finished third after being behind the leader for most of the trip. GLENGARRIFF (Imperial Count – Catchya Muscle) galloped several times in the run and was tailed off.

Mile Rate: - 2.22.2           Final Half: - 68.3               Margins: - Nose, 10m

Trial 8: - RUNAWAY SUCCESS was the only runner drawn on the front line but he galloped momentarily at the start and lost his advantage. THE PENNY DROPS began best and led but took cover behind STRAZEELE who was quick to challenge. THE PENNY DROPS came away from the inside at the 600m and applied pressure to STRAZEELE. He worked to the front and scored with something in hand. RUNAWAY SUCCESS was doing his best work in the latter stages and got up to finish second, relegating STRAZEELE to be last of the three.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.1             Final Half: - 59.8               Margins: - 4m, 4m

Echuca 30/06/19

Trial 1: - MASTER MACH MANUS was slow to move and dropped out to be last of the four runners. He had his head pinned to the side and he wanted to hang in for most of the trial but when asked to stride in the final 600m, he built up momentum and he was able to win comfortably. MONASH tried to lead throughout but couldn’t withstand the late challenge. WOTPLANETRUFROM trailed the leader throughout and finished third in front of CATCHMEIFUCAN (3 back markers).

Mile Rate: - 2.2.6             Final Half: - 59.5               Margins: - 2m, 6m

Trial 2: - ILLAWONG GALLANT led comfortably from the inside gate and went on to win the trial. MILLAGANOOSH (Million Dollar Cam – Babaganoosh 2.3.3, $4,055) started to yield ground from the 600m after gaining a nice run on the markers and the trotter WATTS UP SKYE (Skyvalley – Rainbow Maori) was last throughout, losing touch with the pack about a lap from home.

Mile Rate: - 2.6.5             Final Half: - Not Given    Margins: - 6m, 20m

Trial 3: - DALLAS ELDON led comfortably and never appeared to be in any danger of defeat, winning the trial by a large margin. APHRODISIAC (Shadow Play – Soho Winslet 1.57.6, $27,819) galloped at the start and shifted inwards whilst galloping thus appearing to check LIVE WELL. APHRODISIAC continued on to finish third whilst LIVE WELL was retired from the trial.

Mile Rate: - Not Given    Final Half: - Not Given    Margins: - 15m, 125m (approximately)

Tabcorp Park, Melton 02/07/19

Trial 1: - MUSZTANG (Art Major – Mesmerizing 1.57.9, $179,221) settled four back on the markers before latching onto the back of SHESA POCKETROCKET (Art Major – It’s Girl Power 1.57.5, $51,695) turning out of the back straight. He produced a strong finale to grab victory on the line. SHESA POCKETROCKET was five back on the markers before working up into the one out and one back trail from the 900m. She ran to the lead in the straight but couldn’t hold off MUSZTANG in the latter stages. NOTORIOUS JOE (Roll With Joe – Legal Art) trailed the leader A ROCKNROLL WALTZ and was held up for a run at a vital stage. Once he gained a clear passage via the sprint lane, he motored through for an eye-catching third. GEE SMITH (Sportswriter – Our Burning Desire 1.55.9, $81,250) settled three back on the markers and was held up for a run until extremely late. PROMISE ME HEAVEN settled at the tail of the field before moving up without cover at the 1400m. A ROCKNROLL WALTZ (A Rocknroll Dance – Our Waltzing Mathilda 1.57.7, $12,131) tried to lead throughout but was collared around the final corner and finished last of the six.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.4             Final Half: - 59.70             Margins: - Head, 2m

Trial 2: - PRINCE OF LIGHT settled three back on the markers and moved up without cover with 600m remaining. He moved alongside the early leader SHOWEMYOURMUSCLES turning into the home straight and forged to the lead in the latter stages to win comfortably. SHOWEMYOURMUSCLES held down second in front of CAABELLO, which followed the winner for the entire trip and started to pick up ground late. ORLANDOS GIFT finished fourth after trailing the leader and SNEAKIN AROUND lost 15m after travelling awkwardly at the start and was last throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.5             Final Half: - 61.08             Margins: - 3.5m, 3.5m

Trial 3: - DON’T HOLD BACK continued his excellent trial form with another easy victory. He settled three back on the markers before starting his move just passed the quarter pole. He motored to the lead turning for home and scored untouched. STAR OF MEMPHIS dropped out to be last early, moved away from the markers at the 600m and motored to the line for a big second. JUST SAY GO began quickly with FRANCO but it was obvious FRANCO wanted to hold the lead so he restrained onto the markers to trail. He moved away from the inside approaching the home turn and momentarily hit the front but he couldn’t match DON’T HOLD BACK and STAR OF MEMPHIS in the run to the finish. FRANCO tried to lead throughout and went quickly in the back straight but yielded ground late. FREDDY FUNK settled four back on the inside and ended up finishing last of the five runners.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.5           Final Half: - 57.07             Margins: - 7.5m, 1.5m

Trial 4: - It was a slow beginning to the trial with no horse particularly wanting the front running role. ZOLIVER held the inside advantage before taking cover behind HULI NIEN, which ambled forward. RAKIURA ROCK was third and ARTS DASH was last on the markers in fourth. The order remained the same until the field entered the home straight where ZOLIVER peeled away from the markers. He finished stoutly and picked up HULI NIEN quite comfortably to win nicely. ARTS DASH was doing his best work at the end to finish third with RAKIURA ROCK being last of the four.

BLACKBOOKER: - Zoliver

Trial 5: - ROCKABELLA STARZ showed good gate speed to lead comfortably. She wasn’t going really quickly but established a good break in the middle stages. The gap closed to about 8m in the back straight before she raced clear again, winning by a large margin and seemingly with plenty in reserve. RECLUSIVE was in second position throughout and held that spot in the run to the finish. SPIC AND SPARKLED had her head turned to the side and wanted to get on one rein throughout the entire trial. She did pick up late however to finish in third. ROCKNROLL GOLD was fourth after being four back on the markers throughout. NIKITARAS settled in last position and made a move at the 1100m as RECLUSIVE wasn’t chasing after the runaway leader. RECLUSIVE did kick up however when NIKITARAS tried to gain a prominent position thus he was left stranded without cover for the remainder of the trip. He dropped out late to be last of the five.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.7             Final Half: - 57.46             Margins: - 31.5m, 6m

Trial 6: - NUCLEAR NIKKY pushed to the lead in the early stages then took cover behind NOVEMBER GUY at the 1600m. He moved away from the back of the tiring leader on the home turn to trail MAKE ME HAPPY into the straight then finished on too well. MAKE ME HAPPY ended up being three back on the markers once NOVEMBER GUY found the lead. He then moved up sharply from the 500m to run to the front but he was gunned down late. SAXON ROSE was last throughout but she was doing nice work in the final 150m to finish third. WECAN JUMP PUDDLES was fourth after being four back on the markers for the majority of the trip. NOVEMBER GUY settled down last, took advantage of a slow early tempo to find the front comfortably and tired from the home turn.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.2             Final Half: - 60.57             Margins: - 2m, 7m

Trial 7: - THREE ONE TWO ONE led throughout and was untroubled in taking out the trial in a slow mile rate of 2.12.3. THEYALLENDINY was third for the majority of the journey before moving around the juvenile trotter SAINT CALDER (Muscle Hill – Like A Calder), which was yielding ground with 500m remaining. He finished second with SAINT CALDER in third and SCOOTIN AROUND (Bacardi Lindy – Redneck) was tailed off throughout after breaking stride at the start.

Mile Rate: - 2.12.3           Final Half: - 61.66             Margins: - 6.5m, 55.5m

Trial 8: - They all stepped away safely from the tapes with SOBOMBA leading ROCK TO MIDNIGHT and CADENZA.  EARLION (Armbro Invasion – Early Pocket) was the slowest to begin and was detached from the main group by approximately 15m. ROCK TO MIDNIGHT circled around to find the front on the first corner then CADENZA made a move to lead at the 1400m. ROCK TO MIDNIGHT moved to the outside of CADENZA in the home straight with SOBOMBA using the sprint lane. ROCK TO MIDNIGHT prevailed in a close finish with CADENZA just holding off SOBOMBA for second and third. EARLION tacked onto the group coming up to the bell but galloped with 800m remaining.

Mile Rate: - 2.11.3           Final Half: - 59.51             Margins: - 1.5m, 2m

Kilmore 03/07/19

Trial 1: - IM THE MIGHTYGRAMPS (Western Terror – Cracker Three) showed good gate speed to lead and set up a slow tempo before finishing off in a solid final half. REDFOX RAIDER (Courage Under Fire – Fine Exception 1.59.9, $6,425) settled three back on the inside prior to moving up without cover at the 600m. He drew to a 2m lead turning out of the back straight but IM THE MIGHTYGRAMPS kicked back to beat him. THE TALK (Somebeachsomewhere – Serenity Franco) settled four back on the markers and picked up late ground without being pushed at any stage. COURTNEY KATARINA (Heston Blue Chip – Limburg) finished last of the four after trailing the leader throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.2             Final Half: - 57.60             Margins: - 4m, 10m

Trial 2: - BETTERMATCH led the small field of three runners and comfortably took out the trial. Considering he boasts a personal best mile of 1.50.3 and he carries a national rating of 95, he was entitled to succeed. BETTOR BE NICE trailed the leader and moved to the outside at the 400m. He didn’t make or lose ground on BETTERMATCH in the latter stages. KELLYS IDEAL was last throughout and yielded ground in the back straight on the final occasion.

Mile Rate: - 2.6.1             Final Half: - 58.40             Margins: - 4m, 30m

Trial 3: - CELESTIA pushed forward to lead and never looked in any danger of defeat. She dashed well clear in the latter stages to win by a large margin. INSULTING (He’s Watching – Intoxicating 1.57.7, $79,060) galloped momentarily at the start and lost approximately 10m. He settled last of the three and raced roughly at times but he was able to get the better of PEPPERBERRY (Major Bronski – Rock Melody 2.2.6, $19,300) (trailed leader) in the latter stages.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.7             Final Half: - 60.80             Margins: - 25m, 1m

Trial 4: - SUNNYS LITTLE JESTIC went to the line under a throttle hold and could have won the trial by a lot more than the one metre margin had driver Brad Chisolm allowed her to stride. She was slowly away and settled last before circling around KYVALLEY CLAIRE (Muscle Hill – Cashel Dagha) at the bell. She was shuffled back to the rear before the home turn and ran home too well out wide on the track in the straight. SHADOW DANCING showed his usual early pace then took cover behind DEE at the 1800m. He used the sprint lane to run into second. KYVALLEY CLAIRE was last at the bell but pushed forward to move up without cover at the 600m. She broke stride at the 100m when SUNNYS LITTLE JESTIC drew passed her. DEE finished last of the four after racing fiercely in the lead.

Mile Rate: - 2.9.7             Final Half: - 67.00             Margins: - 1m, 4m

Trial 5: - SHOSHONE BRAVE was the first to the markers but took cover behind REIGNING PEPPER shortly afterwards. The pace was moderate early but they dashed home in a slippery final lap with the last half being run in 55.8 seconds. REIGNING PEPPER scored but SHOSHONE BRAVE chased determinedly. BELLISSIMA was last of the three throughout and couldn’t go with the leading pair when they sprinted up sharply in the back straight.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.0             Final Half: - 55.80             Margins: - 6m, 40m

Trial 6: - LIVE ON BROADWAY is lightly raced but has always shown a good amount of ability. He trailed the leader TALEGGIO and came to the outside at the 600m. He asserted his superiority in the latter stages to win easily and considering TALEGGIO was beaten by a narrow margin at his latest racetrack appearance, there should be a win in the near future for LIVE ON BROADWAY. STARLIGHT SAFARI settled last of the four and was doing his best work in the latter stages. He beat home LOLA MONTEZ (American Ideal – Shes Norma Jeane 1.58.8, $34,267), which was three back on the markers throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.6             Final Half: - 58.90             Margins: - 10m, 2m

BLACKBOOKER: - Live on Broadway

Trial 7: - It was a slow beginning to the standing start trial but they all stepped away safely. YOUNEEDABITOFMUSCLE led from STRESS FACTOR and ZOEYS GIFT settled last of the three. ZOEYS GIFT moved up without cover from the 600m and joined YOUNEEDABITOFMUSCLE on the home turn. YOUNEEDABITOFMUSCLE broke stride then ZOEYS GIFT galloped momentarily allowing STRESS FACTOR to gain the upper hand. STRESS FACTOR went on to win the trial but the result may have been different had ZOEYS GIFT not lost some momentum on the home turn.

Mile Rate: - 2.12.1           Final Half: - 62.40             Margins: - 2m, 150m
