Holzarte Vedaquais made a mistake in his one and only run in Australia last year, but Craig Rail fancies he's one to follow this preparation.

The Tim Butt-trained European squaregaiter, who galloped in a heat of the 2020 Victoria Derby during October, won a trial at Tabcorp Park Melton this week ahead of his return to the races.

He is one of five new Blackbook entries by Rail, who has also added Frank Mercieca's Fabulous Kayjay ahead of her run at Mildura today and Amanada Grieve's Mach Le More ahead of his start at Cranbourne on Saturday night.
