A newcomer to the Scott Ewen stable is shaping as a coming winner according to Craig Rail, who was impressed with the way Coastal Girl competed against higher-rated rivals at the trials this week.

The former New South Wales-trained three-year-old holds a NR of 50, but was able to beat Ozzie Sunshine (NR68) and Wattlebank Flyer (NR74) in a tidy performance on Sunday.

Rail made her one of four Blackbook additions alongside the unraced trio of Scheming, Glamour Stride and Shaunie.
