Two new Blackbook entries will step out at Cranbourne on Sunday, with Craig Rail entertaining both as strong winning chances.

Rail added Diamond Party (Joe Pace) and Mister Macedon (Shane Hoban) to his list of horses to follow after strong recent trials.

Also making the Blackbook this week is Niki Nah Nah (Kari Males) and Keayang Sambuca (Margaret Lee), an unraced half-brother to the talented Brandlo Prince.

TERANG 20/06/21

Trial 1: - EOGHAN OMAILLE stepped away quickly to find the front and was a clear leader on the first turn. His rivals didn’t bother to pursue him and he was a long way clear for the entire trial, scoring by 150m. The mile rate was only 2.13.4 but he did it easily in what was virtually a solo trial for him. He is racing against a much tougher field at Stawell this afternoon. The remainder of the group appeared to be content to finish together and none of them were fully extended. KEAYANG CHUCKY (Love You – The Sun Goddess) settled three back on the markers and finished second. ALDEBARAN VERA (Trixton – Kyvalley Aldebaran) was probably the best run out of the beaten brigade. She jumped away in second position, broke stride 50m after the start and settled 30m behind the pack. She was able to tack on and came out three horses wide from last at the 400m to pick up third. KEAYANG DUCHESS (Muscle Mass – Icantremember) finished in fourth after being second on the markers throughout. ALDEBARAN BOYD (Aldebaran Eagle – Aldebaran Revenue) was four back on the inside and moved into the death seat at the 400m metres. He was last of the five runners to complete the course but he wasn’t far off finishing second with the bulk of the field finishing in a clump.

Mile Rate: - 2.13.4          Final Half: - 60.7              Margins: - 150m, Head

Trial 2: - KEAYANG SAMBUCA (Sam Bourbon – Bohemian Queen 2.4.1, $13,170) dropped back at the start to be last of the three runners, trailed the leader approaching the home turn and moved to the outside with 250m remaining. He jogged to the lead in the straight and drew away to win without being extended. It was a very nice win for a qualifying trotter and he might be worth following. ALDEBARAN DAMON was behind the leader in the early stages, moved up without cover and was eventually able to slide to the lead at the 900m mark. He battled on quite well in the straight and finished second. PRICKLE PATCH (Restrepo – Chabachon 1.58.8, $34,631) began quickly to lead, eventually took a trail with just short of a lap remaining and moved to the outside at the 400m. He was out three horses wide shortly afterwards and held his ground in the straight to finish in third.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.3            Final Half: - 62.3              Margins: - 4m, 3m

BLACKBOOKER: - Keayang Sambuca

Trial 3: - SEAROVER began quickly to find the lead shortly after the start. He set up a slow tempo and had a good kick left in the run to the finish to get the prize. He backs up at Stawell this afternoon. CLASSACT was three back on the markers and raced keenly in the middle stages. He moved into the one out and one back trail with 300m remaining and angled out three horses wide on the home turn. He worked home well at the end to pick up second. BLUE VEIN FITZ was four back on the inside and was the first horse to make a move at the 600m. He battled on well in the straight to finish third and that was his last public hit-out before his effort at Melton on Tuesday night. SHADY CREDIT trailed the leader, used the sprint lane and held his own in the straight without being fully extended. THE SUSPECT was last of the five runners for the duration.

Mile Rate: - 2.6.7            Final Half: - 59.3              Margins: - 3m, 2m

MILDURA 20/06/21

Trial 1: - ROBERT CROCKA showed his usual early brilliance to run to the front shortly after the start. He ran along at a genuine tempo throughout and never looked like being beaten. He recorded handy time and it was a good hit-out for his effort at Mildura tonight. BEARTASTIC WRITER settled three back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail on the home turn and finished off fairly well for second. He returns from a break at Mildura this evening. APACHE WIND settled four back on the inside and remained on the markers throughout, moving through to trail the leader on the home turn. He held his ground in the straight and finished in third. He returns from his stint in Queensland at Mildura this evening and most of his lifetime victories have been on the Mildura circuit so he could improve on his numerical form. AGENT CALLAN (Village Jolt – Real Dreamz) began quickly and trailed the leader. He moved into the death seat in the back straight on the final occasion and battled into fourth position. REALITY PLAYER (Badlands Hanover – Reality Check 2.0.1, $22,460) was without cover early, eased to last and remained at the back of the pack for the remainder of the trip.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.6          Final Half: - 60.1              Margins: - 7m, 4m

Trial 2: - PROMISE ME HEAVEN appeared to be well graded in the trial and was able to lead throughout. She raced well clear of her rivals to win by a large margin. WHERESMILZEE dropped back to be last of the four runners, angled away from the inside with 300m remaining and worked into second position. PUMPT (Mach Three – Kelly Maguire) angled across to be three back on the markers and moved through to trail the leader with 900m remaining. He finished a distant third as a final hit-out for his debut performance at Mildura this evening. KATE KANARDLY trailed the leader in the early stages but raced very greenly and hung out with 1000m remaining. She raced away from the inside for the remainder of the trip and hung out very wide on the track going around the final corner.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.7          Final Half: - 59.3              Margins: - 40m, 15m

Trial 3: - KING SOLOMON raced without cover in the early stages before pushing forward to find the lead at the 1700m mark. He ran along at a genuine tempo and scored softly in the run to the finish. He is drawn on the pole position at Mildura this evening and should prove hard to beat. FRIENDS settled three back on the inside, moved through to trail the leader with 500m remaining and tried hard in second position. WILSHIRE BOULEVARD settled last of the four runners and was able to poke through late to finish in third position. CALGARY BAY led out then took a trail behind KING SOLOMON. She came to the outside with 500m remaining but couldn’t sustain the run and was the last horse across the line. She is returning from a spell at Mildura this evening.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.2          Final Half: - 59.3              Margins: - 4m, 14m

MARYBOROUGH 20/06/21

Trial 1: - TRIPLE ZED began quickly and was able to lead comfortably from the pole position. He set up a reasonable tempo and was able to hang on in the run to the finish. He is racing at Maryborough on Monday where he appears to be a value hope. DREAM ASSET trailed the leader early and moved to the death seat at the bell when BROCKS TERRITORY was pulling hard and went into the sprint lane in the front straight with just over a lap remaining. She battled on well over the latter stages to finish second with SCENE OF TERROR being third after being three back on the markers and also easing to the outside to allow BROCKS TERRITORY to get back onto the course proper. BROCKS TERRITORY galloped at the start and lost approximately 50m early, tacked onto the group, raced very fiercely and tired in the final 300m, which allowed SCENE OF TERROR to drop back to the inside and use the sprint lane at the end.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.8            Final Half: - 57.3              Margins: - Head, 1m

Trial 2: - LA MESH (Artspeak – Quick Comment 2.0.0, $30,359) began quickly and was able to dash across and find the lead shortly after the start. She was always comfortably clear of her rivals but accelerated to a big lead in the final circuit to score easily. LUCY SAWYER settled four back on the markers and moved away from the inside at the 600m. She was able to work into second position ahead of WUNDERLAND, which was three back on the inside and worked around into second spot half way down the back straight on the final occasion. LORD ALPHA (Shadow Play – Table Games 2.5.4, $9,382) trailed the leader but was under pressure from the 600m and was the last horse to complete the course. LUCY SAWYER returns from a break at Melton on Tuesday night.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.0            Final Half: - 58.9              Margins: - 40m, 1m

Trial 3: - SELF EXCLUSION was the third horse to begin but ended up being behind the leader. He came to the outside in the straight and was able to amble to the line to win comfortably. JESSICAS STORY began quickly to find the lead. She was unchallenged throughout the middle stages and enjoyed a nice run but she couldn’t match the finishing power of SELF EXCLUSION at the end. She finished fourth at Kilmore on Thursday and is backing up at Maryborough on Monday afternoon. WAYNES WHIZ (Majestic Son – She Didn’t Do It) began quickly and was second early but broke stride 50m after the start then was tailed off for the remainder of the trial. He was able to get past BROOKIES BABE (Tennotrump – Wrath of Rosie 1.59.2, $112,513), which galloped in the score up and missed 50m, chased to tack onto the leading pair then started yielding ground with a lap remaining.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.1            Final Half: - 61.9              Margins: - 2m, 80m

Trial 4: - MAGIC FEELING (Always B Miki – Feel The Magic 1.59.6, $27,867) began very quickly and was able to find the lead shortly after the start. She backed off the tempo mid-race and had a good kick left in the run to the finish. ALWAYS SKYE HIGH (Always B Miki – Misty Forever) was four back on the markers and moved into the death seat in the back straight on the final occasion. He battled on well for second with SWEET EMMYLOU being third after missing away, settling last then racing roughly again at the 300m mark. SWEET EMMYLOU will have to be on his best behaviour at Stawell this afternoon. MISTIE REIGN (He’s Watching – Mistylyn) finished fourth after trailing the leader throughout and RANGER STRIDE (Excel Stride – Heavenly Cullen 1.54.8, $26,493) (3 back markers) was the last horse to greet the judge.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.1            Final Half: - 60.3              Margins: - 8m, 2m

Trial 5: - PARIS FAITH began quickly to find the front and was able to remain in control throughout the affair. She appeared to have something in reserve at the end and safely held off the challenge of SHEZAGEM, which was in the trail before coming to the outside on the home turn. TICKTOK settled behind the leader but broke stride on the first corner and lost valuable ground. She did well to finish as close as she did, despite being the last one home. PARIS FAITH and TICKTOK are both competing at the Maryborough program on Monday.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.0            Final Half: - 61.5              Margins: - 4m, 25m

Trial 6: - IRON CHARIOT was four back on the markers in the early stages, moved into the running lane at the 400m (1-2) and came out three horses wide on the home turn before charging home at the end to take out the last trial. He is a handy type and should be finishing off nicely at Maryborough on Monday. SCHNAPPSHOT attempted to lead throughout and finished in second position with KIWI KALAHARI filling third spot after trailing the leader and moving up without cover at the bell. KIWI KALAHARI is making an appearance at Melton on Tuesday night. YANKEE BOOT FLAT (Changeover – Fancy Falcon 1.59.1, $34,264) settled three back on the markers, trailed the leader from the bell and used the sprint lane to finish fourth. SUGOI ALTO (Village Jolt – Sugar Alto) dropped back to be last of the five, moved into the one out and one back trail and came out three horses wide on the home turn but was the last one to complete the course. She is making her debut at Maryborough on Monday afternoon.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.1            Final Half: - 58.2              Margins: - 2m, Neck

BENDIGO 20/06/21

Trial 1: - ENDSIN A PARTY has competed at Country Cups level and MY MATE MAX (Wind Cries Maori – Marong Miss) is yet to make his debut so there was a significant class difference between the two horses. MY MATE MAX led, ENDSIN A PARTY took the trail before coming to the outside at the 300m mark and finishing off too well to score softly.

Mile Rate: - 2.12.1          Final Half: - 62.4              Margins: - 10m

Trial 2: - BOXOFCHOCOLATES has won six of her eight starts and hasn’t raced since a fourth at Bendigo in November. She was without cover early, progressed forward to find the lead at the 1800m and raced keenly throughout the middle stages. She produced a brilliant final quarter of 26.4 seconds and ran away from her rivals to win easily. SUNROSE MASTER was three back on the inside, moved up without cover from the 600m and finished second ahead of NEANGER GUY, which led out then took a trail. NEANGER GUY is poorly drawn for his return to the track at Maryborough on Monday.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.3            Final Half: - 55.9              Margins: - 40m, 4m

Trial 3: - JIMMY REACTOR settled four back on the inside and moved to the death seat at the 800m. He sustained a good run to get the prize with FOREST FORCE finishing second after finding the back of the leader shortly after the start. CAESAR MOON settled three back on the markers and used the sprint lane to finish third. SHECANDOIT began quickly to find the lead and was run down late. She finished fourth with RINELLA (Village Jasper – Sharnica) (5 back markers, 1-1 at 800m) being the last one to finish.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.8            Final Half: - 60.2              Margins: - 4.5m, 2m

Trial 4: - GIANNIS AY MACRAY trailed the leader, moved away from the markers on the home turn and finished off best to get the prize over SMOOTH ROLLING, which attempted to lead all of the way. BACKWARDS FIRST was fifth on the markers, progressed into fourth at the 500m and moved away from inside on the home turn. She finished third with ROCKNROLL LADY (A Rocknroll Dance – Bonton Lady) being in fourth after settling in sixth position early. DON’T WASTE TIME (McArdle – Live Your Life) was three back on the inside and filled fifth spot with WHATA JOURNEY (Rock N Roll Heaven – Whata Avenue 1.53.3, $92,536) coming from last to work past INFERRNO (without cover, 4 back markers at 1700m).

Mile Rate: - 2.0.9            Final Half: - 59.6              Margins: - 1m, 6m

Trial 5: - RACING DREAM trailed the leader and moved to the outside on the home turn. He hit the line solidly to get the prize. MY LUCKY ROCK (Pet Rock – Rosetta Lombo) put in a good performance to finish second position. He was three back on the markers and was doing his best work late. LAVENDI RICKY (Betterthancheddar – Julies Equity 1.58.4, $197,969) finished third after setting the speed and MONA LISA CAM (Million Dollar Cam – 1.59.2, $81,298) was the last one home after moving into the breeze from last at the 900m before breaking stride at the 700m. ROCKNROLL LADY scored up with the field in trial five after competing in trial four but she was retired shortly after the start.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.9            Final Half: - 60.2              Margins: - 1m, 4m

Trial 6: - WAIKARE COLLEEN began quickly to find the lead shortly after the start. She set up a slow speed and was able to hold off a determined challenge from SUPPLANTER at the finish. SUPPLANTER was a very good effort in second. She galloped shortly after the start, tacked onto the group at the bell, moved to the outside at the 400m and chased hard at the finish. SHEZ MAJESTIC finished in third position after trailing the leader throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.0            Final Half: - 61.4              Margins: - 1m, 6m

Trial 7: - SUNNY SPIDER (Yankee Spider – Sunshine Annie 2.7.8, $6,538) began quickly to find the lead and ran along at an even tempo. He travelled strongly all of the way and raced well clear over concluding stages to win untouched. THE RED WARRIOR settled down last of the three runners, switched around WILL PATRICK to trail the leader from the 1600m-1400m and battled on fairly well for second. WILL PATRICK was at the tail of the field for most of the trip after being overtaken by THE RED WARRIOR in the first lap. He backed up with a ninth placed effort on the wet track at Kilmore on Thursday night.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.5            Final Half: - 59.6              Margins: - 25m, 20m

GEELONG 21/06/21

Trial 1: - ITS BACK IN THE DAY settled five back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 800m and was out three horses wide on the home turn when he was able to produce a big finish to score over DIAMOND PARTY. He wasn’t fully extended so it was an impressive display. DIAMOND PARTY set up a genuine tempo in the lead and her National Rating is 41 points lower than the winner’s assessment so she did a great job to finish a close second. SOMEBEACHSHADOW was three back on the markers, moved away from the inside at the 1400m to have a crack for the lead then eased in for the trail behind DIAMOND PARTY with 1200m remaining. He used the sprint lane and finished in third spot. MORVAH trailed the leader early then was three back on the markers and finished fourth ahead of SOEXTRA, which moved up without cover from fourth at the half mile marker. JUSTICE SERVED was without cover early then got snagged back to last and remained at the tail of the field for the remainder of the journey. DIAMOND PARTY is a strong winning chance at Cranbourne on Sunday.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.5          Final Half: - 57.8              Margins: - Head, 3m

BLACKBOOKER: - Diamond Party

Trial 2: - NONE GRATER trailed the leader MELODY BEACH and came to the outside on the home turn. He finished off quickly and scored by an increasing margin of three metres with MELODY BEACH holding down second spot. Both NONE GRATER and MELODY BEACH are competing at Melton on Tuesday night. KURUN EXPRESS was five back on the markers, used the sprint lane and was making ground at the finish despite racing extremely roughly over the final 100m. GRAPHITE STRIDE was in the one out and one back trail early, broke stride at the 1400m mark then tacked on at the 1200m. She finished well for fourth with MEROLAMAGIC (Somebeachshadow – Sterita 1.55.9, $145,241) being fifth after racing fiercely from five back on the markers before moving up without cover at the half mile marker. HEAVENLY BRIGADE (Rock N Roll Heaven – Trigirl Brigade) settled four back on the inside and finished ahead of SIR FLOYD (Auckland Reactor – Baji Bromac 2.1.9, $9,370), which was left stranded without cover for the majority of the trip.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.7            Final Half: - 59.5              Margins: - 3m, 6m

Trial 3: - BULLION HARRY settled three back on the markers and moved up without cover with 300m remaining. He finished off strongly to get the prize from the former pacer OUR SAFARI SUN, which showed ability in the trotting gait by trying to lead all of the way and boxing on well at the finish. OUR SAFARI SUN galloped at his trotting debut but he might run a much sharper race at Cranbourne on Sunday. FLING IT RAINBOW trailed the leader and finished third with MICKEY TWO SHOES being last for the duration.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.6            Final Half: - 59.6                            Margins: - 2m, 8m

Trial 4: - KIMORA SAFFI (Great Success – Poignant) was able to lead throughout and was always a large margin clear of her rivals. She continued to stretch out nicely going to the line and won by 100m. She makes her debut at Maryborough on Monday and she should make her presence felt. CONSTANT (Bacardi Lindy – Efficacious) was in second position throughout and beat home her stable mate CHEERS MY FRIEND (Kvintet Avenger – Stylish Chic 2.10.1, $10,844), which hung in badly on the first turn and lost valuable ground. ORPHAN ANDY broke stride in the score up and was tailed off throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.4            Final Half: - 62.7              Margins: - 100m, 15m

Trial 5: - QUEEN INVASION trailed the leader, used the sprint lane and accelerated quickly in the final 50m to snare victory on the line. RILEY MOMENT began quickly and found the lead shortly after the start. She enjoyed a nice run in the leading role but seemingly lost concentration in the straight and was run down on the line. EVAS IMAGE settled three back on the inside, moved into the death seat at the quarter pole and was closing in late but just missed out in third. RILEY MOMENT and EVAS IMAGE will clash at Maryborough on Monday and both performed well enough in the trial to suggest they will be competitive. CHAMPAGNE CHARLEY settled last, moved to the outside at the 600m and was three horses wide from the 400m. He finished last of the four runners but there was nothing wrong with his performance.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.3            Final Half: - 59.0              Margins: - ½ Head, 2m

Trial 6: - WHERES SEGGY showed his brilliant gate speed to find the lead shortly after the start. He ran along at a genuine tempo and was able to safely hold his rivals at bay. He has unfortunately come up with a draw on the second row at Melton on Tuesday but his trial effort showed that he is at his peak form. MISTER MACEDON finished second after trailing the leader throughout and coming to the outside in the straight. He had every chance but considering he is assessed as a 56 on the National Ratings scale, his performance was very brave. He looms as one of the major players at Cranbourne on Sunday. MAJOR MEISTER was last of the six early, moved up without cover at the 800m mark, gained a one out and one back trail with 500m remaining and came out three horses wide on the home turn. He was finding the line fairly well and finished third ahead of the trotter MAORI LAW (4 back markers), which used inside runs throughout. GILTY BY THE BEACH was five back on the markers and finished fifth with the THE BIG END OFTOWN dropping out to finish last after trailing the leader and attempting to make a forward move in the final 500m of the event.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.7          Final Half: - 57.0              Margins: - 4m, 8m

BLACKBOOKER: - Mister Macedon

Trial 7: - MAJESTICAL BELLE began quickly to find the lead shortly after the start. She enjoyed a nice run in the leading role and did a good job for a trotter taking on the pacers. She held off the challenge of SECURITY CHECK to get the prize. SECURITY CHECK trailed the leader and used the sprint lane. He appeared to be the winner with 30m remaining but MAJESTICAL BELLE was holding him at bay at the end of proceedings. OH SO EASY (Art Major – Rockin Tammy) finished third after being three back on the markers throughout. QUEEN OF DIAMONDS was four back on the markers and was racing keenly throughout. She hung in and broke stride at the 800m mark and lost approximately 15m, which put her out of winning contention. JASPERINE raced roughly at the start and was a clear last early before breaking stride again at the 600m mark hence she was at the tail of the field at the finish.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.9            Final Half: - 59.9              Margins: - Head, 8m

Trial 8: - VANQUISH STRIDE settled four back on the markers before moving up without cover at the 600m mark. He hit the lead in the home straight and shot away to win nicely. ALTA CASSINO is a former New Zealand pacer for trainer Joe Pace. He attempted to lead throughout and was run down at the end but he defeated the remainder of the field by a good margin. He is one of the leading chances at his Australian debut effort at Cranbourne on Sunday. GIVEITATRY trailed the leader throughout and finished in third. NIKI NAH NAH was three back on the markers and got held up for a run at a vital stage before running home nicely at the finish. She has a National Rating of 47 so she can be well placed when she steps out onto the track to start her new campaign. PARAMOUNT PRINCESS is a former New Zealand trotter and was taking on some handy pacers. She settled down last and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m. She wasn’t disgraced despite being the last horse to greet the judge.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.6            Final Half: - 58.1              Margins: - 10m, 10m

BLACKBOOK: - Niki Nah Nah

Trial 9: - Only two horses contested the final trial with ALDEBARAN HUEY leading throughout to defeat OLLIVICI (Orlando Vici – Belle Galleon). OLLIVICI came to the outside on the turn and made a lunge on the line. It was a very narrow margin between the pair when the judge called a halt.

CRANBOURNE 21/06/21: -

Trial 1: - FOREVER MOMENTS (Somebeachsomewhere – Special Moment 1.58.0, $72,511) trailed the leader, used the sprint lane and scored softly at the end. LINA AND MOLLY (Bettors Delight – Western Jazz) settled three back on the inside, was held up for a run at a vital stage and ran home well for second. WHATISAYGOES began quickly and kept on pushing forward to find the lead at the 1200m mark. He was gunned down late but finished in third position. PRINCE SAHARA (Four Starzzz Shark – Sahara Sunrise 1.59.9, $15,685) broke stride in the score up and missed the start by approximately 50m. He was held up for a run at a vital stage and ran home strongly out wide late for an eye-catching fourth. IDYLLIC PRINCESS was four back on the markers and moved up without cover at the 400m. She finished fifth ahead of MIR (5 back markers, 1-1 at 400m) with SUMMER BLUE (Caribbean Blaster – Ima Blue Bell 2.1.6, $13,799) being the last one home after being six back on the markers in the early stages of the event.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.9            Final Half: - 60.6              Margins: - 6.5m, 6m

Trial 2: - DENIS WILLIAM settled last of the main group and was giving the leaders a reasonable start in the early stages of the event. He came to the outside with 500m remaining and finished strongly to get the prize. He returns from a break at Cranbourne on Sunday and must be considered as one of the leading chances. IS THAT A BID was behind the leader in the early stages before finding the lead at the 1800m. He kicked on well for second with LIZZADRO being in third after trailing the leader for the majority of the journey. LIZZADRO makes his debut for the Jess Tubbs stable at Stawell this afternoon but has come up with an awkward draw. NIKITARAS finished fourth after being three back on the inside. BETTER ECLIPSE ran to the lead shortly after the start but he wanted to kick driver Greg Sugars out of the sulky at the 1800m mark and lost approximately 40m. He did want to kick and break stride when he reached the shadow of a light pole on the track so that may have been an excuse for his misdemeanour. He was able to tack onto the group and used the sprint lane in the straight so he did well to finish as close as he did.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.3            Final Half: - 58.7              Margins: - 5.25m, 4m

BALLARAT 22/06/21

Trial 1: - ALDEBARAN TESS was three back on the markers early before moving to the outside and slotting in behind the leader at the 600m. She moved away from the markers again at the 400m and was able to trot home best to get the prize. OUR DENEUVE (Love You – Armbro Starlet) attempted to lead throughout and finished second. He wasn’t fully extended and the winner is very smart so it was still a good performance. MERCENARY (Majestic Son – Imitating 2.9.1, $4,495) also appeared to have something left at the finish and was doing his best work at the end from behind the leader (3 back markers momentarily in the back straight). ELLEN RUVAL galloped at the start and was last throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.8            Final Half: - 60.3              Margins: - 2m, 2m

Trial 2: - WAR HERO settled behind the leader, moved away from the markers on the home turn and sprinted home best to get the prize and he appeared to have plenty of petrol left in the tank. NAI HARN BAY prepared for his effort at Maryborough on Monday with a sound second. He dropped back to be last of the four runners early, moved up without cover at the 800m mark and loomed up to hit the lead on the home turn before being run down late. The early leader BILUM finished in third position with TOUCH OF TERROR seeing the field to be safely home. TOUCH OF TERROR was three back on the markers and came out wide on the home turn but paced roughly and lost valuable ground.

Trial 3: - KOWALSKI ANALYSIS led out, took a trail then worked to the lead again at the 1600m. He blasted home his last 800m in a sensational 54.9 seconds and continued his fantastic form at the trials. MASTER MOONLITE worked past KOWALSKI ANALYSIS to find the front then took cover. He finished a distant second with KOLOVOS being last of the three runners throughout. KOLOVOS will meet much easier horses at his first up performance at Maryborough on Monday.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.1          Final Half: - 54.9              Margins: - 25m, 2m
