Trots pod: Chat with Nat Rasmussen

Natalie Rasmussen has told how Blacks A Fake helped rebuild her bounce back from serious injury in a candid chat with Paul Campbell for the latest edition of the Tooth Be Told podcast.

The talented All Stars trainer-driver talked through her career and “that horse”, who won a stunning four Inter Dominions, for the podcast, which is part of Harness Racing Victoria’s Trots Media channel.

“I got really badly hurt in a race fall in about the year 2000 and I didn’t really touch the horses for two years – I couldn’t walk properly,” Rasmussen said.

“I damaged the sacroiliac joint in my back. I was just pottering around, then mum and dad had about five yearlings or babies just come in.

“I was just starting to get back into it to help dad. We did a group of them each and Blacks A Fake was in the group that I ended up taking up. Sorry Dad.”
