It pays to strike early in TrotStars with Caleb Lewis, the very first person to enter night one of this year's TAB Summer of Glory fantasy competition, amassing the equal highest score and subsequently snapping up the week one prize.

The co-owner of one of the most exciting trotters in Australia, Pink Galahs, Lewis won a dining package for two to What The Hill Great Southern Star night at Tabcorp Park Melton on February 5, when the top tier trotters will clash in heats and a final for one of the richest squaregaiting prizes in the Southern Hemisphere.

Lewis was one of 19 TrotStars to couple PETstock Ballarat Pacing Cup winner Lochinvar Art ($62,700 in prizemoney) with E B Cochran Trotters Cup winner Magicool ($17,100), and then filled his team out with Alpine Stride ($2400), Majestic Cruiser ($720) and Seize Power ($600).

That gave Lewis a total of $83,520, an amount matched by Sky Racing's Brittany Graham, Trots Vision presenter Paul Campbell, Benjamin Astill, Bill Palmer, Brian Lynch, Craig McIlroy, Dale Riseley, Emma Johnson, Leon Underwood, Mathew Dedini, Matt Shelton, Paul McLaughlin, Rob Cross, Rodney Keith, Ryan Spice, Shane Fitzgerald, Steve Work and William Campbell.

The top tipping gives them a break on the competition heading into week two of the TAB Summer of Glory, when TrotStars entrants will battle across the VHRC Caduceus 3YO Classic, Allied Express Casey Classic, V L Dullard Trotters Cup and final heat of the Mercury80.

In week two TrotStars entrants will be playing for a dining package for two on Del-Re National A. G Hunter Cup night at Tabcorp Park Melton on February 6, as well as earn vital prizemoney towards the overall win, which carries a spectacular prize package courtesy of partners Ticketblaster, Catanachs Jewellers, Menz Club and Dilmah Tea.

Be sure to check back in on to thetrots.com.au on Wednesday afternoon for week two of TrotStars.
