Victorian runners set for TAB Eureka after barrier draw is completed

At least three Victorian-trained horses will contest this Saturday night’s TAB Eureka at Menangle.

After an impressive win in a heat of the Vicbred Super Series at Melton Entertainment Park on Friday night, High Above was selected as Aaron Bain Racing/Summit Bloodstock’s replacement runner for The Lost Storm and joins fellow Emma Stewart-prepared chances Major Delight and Bay Of Biscay in the race.

High Above will be permitted to withdraw from the Vicbred Super Series without penalty to take his place in the Eureka.

Fighter Command, for Jess Tubbs, was the other Victorian but has been ruled out after being rushed to the Ballarat veterinary clinic for emergency surgery this afternoon.

Tasracing now has to select a replacement for Fighter Command from one of the four emergencies. They are: Wisper A Secret, Dangerous, Dougs Platter and Regazzo Di Tilly.

The barrier draw for the 2024 TAB Eureka was conducted this morning in Sydney.
