Videos: Special coverage celebrates the great women of the trots

An unforgettable night at the trots on International Women’s Day celebrated some of the trailblazing Victorian reinswomen while showcasing the modern day stars.

Abbey Turnbull and Tayla French both drove home winners for Team Teal amid an 11-race card at Shepparton, which was supported with wall-to-wall coverage on TrotsVision.

Eight of the races were named in honour of influential Victorian women in the sport, while the coverage included profiles on Dianne Davies, Deb Quinlian and Jayne Davies.

Additionally, Donna Castles and Pam Wilson joined the TrotsVision panel on the night, which consisted of Nikkita Ross, Shannon O’Sullivan and Monique Burnett, the first time TrotsVision has feature an all-female team.

DIANNE DAVIES:

Trailblazing driver Dianne Davies helped changed the landscape for Victorian reinswomen and was celebrated with this special feature as part of TrotsVision’s International Women’s Day celebrations.

DEB QUINLAN:

The first female to win a Victorian TAB race, Deb Quinlan, has been a trots lifer and continues to leave an indellible mark on the sport that she loves. Her story was celebrated as part of International Women’s Day.

JAYNE DAVIES:

Trainer Jayne Davies has had many brilliant horses pass through her hands and she shared her story as part of TrotsVision’s International Women’s Day celebration.

PAM WILSON JOINS THE TROTSVISION PANEL:

Some great insights as trots trailblazer Pam Wilson, aka Nikkita’s Nana, joins the TrotsVision team on International Women’s Day.

DONNA CASTLES TALKS TO TROTSVISION:
