Today’s Warragul trots meeting is part of the official Victorian Seniors Festival programme and has drawn great interest.
The first Seniors Day at Logan Park has attracted over 120 guests which have been booked in for lunch.
The Warragul Municipal Band will entertain patrons, with the seven-race card kicking off from just before 2pm.
Full TAB betting on local and interstate races will be on offer, and bookmaker Gary Thomas will also field on the local meet.
Warragul is one of the best viewing tracks in Victorian harness racing and the atmosphere at meetings this year has been exciting, with a media publicity campaign and major membership drive seeing increased crowds at local meets.
Racing is highlighted by the opening heat of the inaugural Lang Trot, with a further qualifying heat to be run at Geelong later next week before the $10,000 final at that venue on Geelong Cup night, October 22.
As always, course entry on Monday is free and all are welcome!
