It’s fair to say Chris Alford enjoyed being mic’d up and talking you through Lorimer Lady’s trial at Tabcorp Park Melton on Tuesday afternoon.
The champion reinsman, who has driven over 7700 winners, partnered the mare who has recently joined the Dean Braun stable.
She hasn’t raced since August and finished last of six in the trial on Tuesday.
“She pretty much needed the run I’d say… got a bit tired near the line,” Alford said passing the post.
